What's New & Different for 2025

Eligibility Timeframe

  • Eligibility for the 2025 ABAs extends from January 1 2023 through March 5 2025.  Nominations should cite achievements during this eligibility window.
  • Nominations that won in the 2024 ABAs may be resubmitted for consideration in the 2025 ABAs.  If they have been updated with recent achievements they may be submitted to the same categories in which they won.  If they have not been updated they must be submitted to categories different from those in which they won.

Categories

 

  • There is one new category group - Podcasts - featuring more than 50 categories to recognize achievement of all sorts in podcasts in the USA
  • The following category groups have new categories:
    • The App categories have been updated, with a number of new and revised categories
    • There are three new Technology Solutions categories, for Best Business Information or Data Delivery Solution, Best Industry Contact Relationship Management (CRM) Solution, and Best Upskilling/Workforce Learning Solution
    • There are seven new Education & Education Technology Solutions categories, including
      • Best Coding & Computational Thinking Solution
      • Best Digital Safety Solution
      • Best Education Professional Development Solution
      • Best Evidence Management Solution
      • Best Formative Assessment Solution
      • Best Research and Development Database Solution
      • Best STEM Instructional Solution for Grades K - 12
    • There are three new Video categories: Kids & Family, Music, and Music Video
    • There is one new Web Achievement category, for Achievement in Accessibility

Scoring Threshold for Stevie Award Status

  • The mininum average score that a nomination must receive from the judges to be eligible for Stevie Award status has been raised to 7.75 / 10, from 7.5.  Learn more here.
