David Lahey is a seasoned executive with over a decade of leadership in Customer Success. Most recently, he served as Chief Customer Officer at WeVideo, where he played a pivotal role in revitalizing a 2022 acquisition as well as building a global Customer Success team. Before the current leadership team was established, he also led Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Customer Support.

David has been a Customer Success executive since 2010 but began his career as a founder, launching a software company that was acquired in 2002 by an independent business unit of Computer Associates. Following the acquisition, he served as Vice President of Partner Services at ACCPAC International, Inc. (2002–2005), overseeing a team of 20+ North American consultants, from pre-sales support to post-sales implementation, and managing 35+ strategic projects worldwide. After ACCPAC was acquired, he took on multiple strategic roles at Sage (London: SGE) through 2009.

Throughout his career, David and his teams have been recognized for their excellence and innovation, earning eight Stevie Awards, including three consecutive years of recognition from 2014 to 2016. In 2020, he was invited to join the prestigious panel of Stevie Awards judges. A graduate of UCLA, David remains engaged with his alma mater through the UCLA Alumni Mentor Program, where he actively supports and guides the next generation of professionals. On being invited to Chair, he told us: “I’m honored to be invited to chair the Customer Service Awards for The 2025 (23nd Annual) American Business Awards. My teams have won a number of Stevie Awards over the years and I have enjoyed being a judge for multiple years.”
