Tell the story about this nominated product or service (up to 525 words). Describe its function, features, benefits, and sales to date:

There are hundreds of applications that consumers use everyday that utilize complex algorithms and process enormous volumes of data in seconds, yet from the consumer’s perspective these applications simply deliver convenient answers that add value. Consumers never consider the backend technology or data set required to produce insights. They simply ask a question and click.

Consumer applications have made us smarter and faster. So why haven’t businesses embraced this approach? Why are spreadsheets still the most widely used tool to produce analytics and business intelligence? The answer: Today’s business intelligence tools are merely marginally improved iterations of the BI systems of the 1980’s. The newer tools and technologies still require developers, data scientists and/or consultants to set up and operate.

Collectivei (short for Collective Intelligence) takes a different approach to business intelligence. Collectivei has built a suite of finished applications on top of SaaS infrastructure and data science to deliver a coordinated group of analyses proven to improve performance. Our sales application immediately enables sales professionals at every level to directly access insights whenever and wherever they need them.

Sales professionals are short-handed and burdened with tedious and time-consuming data crunching to monitor sales team performance. To add to the frustration, data challenges often lead to human error and a process that is too slow to keep up with the pace of business. Mistakes are costly. Missing an opportunity can mean the difference between a won deal and one that is lost forever.

Collectivei serves as an intelligence hub where routine but important analyses around sales people, process and pipeline are delivered in seconds, not days or months. Each analysis has been designed by world-renowned scientists and tested for effectiveness and ease of business use. (The company’s advisers include the founders of Comcast, MySQL and Bit.ly, as well as the analytical experts behind SPSS and Facebook). Our multi-tenant architecture allows sales professionals to collaborate around insights.

In short, Collectivei is the first and only ASP on the market currently delivering enterprise quality business intelligence.

Collectivei’s proprietary methodology is organized around the three areas proven to be the most impactful on sales performance.

1. People: The analyses in this category aim to identify coaching opportunities and other areas where sales representatives performance (individually and collectively) can be optimized.

2. Process. The analyses in this category focus on the sales process and its link to revenue to improve forecasting and recommend actions while there is still time in a quarter to impact results.

3. Pipeline: The analyses in this category importantly recognize that current CRM data is often incomplete and flawed. Collectivei’s pipeline analyses are designed to help managers read “between the lines” as well as alert them to opportunities that may be at risk.

For your reference, we have provided screen shots with some examples of specific analyses that fall into these categories.

Collectivei is a private company and does not disclose revenue or client lists. The company is thriving and trying to fill numerous positions to keep up with demand.
