Violet’s Universal Integrated Checkout API allows any digital experience to collapse the space between product discovery & purchase. It does this by connecting emerging sales channels -publishers, social networks, AR/VR, etc - with merchants’ ecommerce stores. The core functionality of the API can be broken into five main categories:

    1. Connection: Merchants can quickly authenticate and connect their ecommerce system -platform or custom- to any channel using Violet Connect.
    2. Catalog: Merchants can open all or part of their catalog of products up to a channel including real time media, inventory levels, product variants, and all other details.
    3. Checkout: Violet enables channels to access real time tax and shipping information directly from a merchant’s ecommerce system so that carts can reflect accurate totals and shipping estimates.
    4. Orders: Channels can submit orders and payment directly into a merchant’s backend system, and orders get fulfilled as if they had been placed directly on the merchant’s site.
    5. Updates: Channels can get order status updates via Webhooks, but the merchant handles all post purchase experiences as they would with any other ecommerce purchase.

The API is headless so any channel can build their own checkout flow to match their experience. Violet provides the direct connection to merchants.

With the rise in “Anywhere Commerce,” Violet is helping the major stakeholders involved in transactions:

    • Shoppers can purchase products right where they find them, without leaving an app or experience. Think of purchasing your favorite player’s shoes, while watching the game, without ever leaving the streaming application where the game is playing.
    • Channels can keep their users inside their application, rather than sending them out of their app to a merchant’s website where they may or may not complete a transaction.
    • Merchants have the opportunity to extend their stores out into social media environments, publisher sites, and any other audience platforms. This drastically reduces the friction to purchase -the average affiliate link only has a 2.5% CTR- and increases a merchant’s ability to acquire new customers.

Violet is unlocking the Anywhere Commerce future, and driving tremendous value for shoppers, channels, and merchants in the process.

  5. If you are providing written answers for your submission, you must provide an answer to this third question: Outline the market performance, critical reception, and customer satisfaction with the product or service to date. State monetary or unit sales figures to date, if possible, and how they compare to expectations or past performance. Provide links to laudatory product or service reviews. Include some customer testimonials, if applicable (up to 350 words):

In 2022, Violet conducted a case study with customer, Throne, providing the following:

    • From 36 hours to instant writeback

      • Before Violet, customers would experience a 24-72 hour delay between order placement on Throne and merchant processing. With instant order writeback, Throne cut their processing time from 36 hours to 300 milliseconds

    • Reduced cost by 95% while increasing speed

      • Throne was able to eliminate its reliance on duplicating orders with manual labor, instead writing orders directly back to merchant systems. This resulted in massive cost costing and process acceleration.

    • Order tracking at the creator’s fingertips

      • Before Violet, customers could only obtain shipping & tracking information by sending Throne a request. As Throne’s CEO, Leonhard Soenke states “with Violet, the tracking is sent automatically via webhook, and that’s something our creators really appreciate.”

    • Easy Connection & Attribution

      • Before Violet, Throne placed manual orders on a website, with limited tracking & attribution. This made it difficult for merchants to develop the relationship with Throne as a reliable revenue source. For COO, Heiner Stinner, “talking with partner stores is now a joy because the benefits to them are obvious. It’s so hard for merchants today to see which channels are working, but with Violet’s integration, merchants know which creator and fan their purchases come from. And they only pay when they sell. It makes us an ideal marketing and sales partner.”

Violet is unlocking potential for current and new customers alike.

“…discovering Violet has completely transformed our vision for our company.” - Confidential New Customer

“We’ve used Violet to successfully sync catalogs from hundreds of merchants, all in a single easy to use data schema.” Michael Seifert, CEO,PublicSquare
