The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) is committed to empowering America’s workers with tools that ensure fair working conditions. The first version of the DOL-Timesheet App launched on the iOS platform in 2010 and was made available on Android in September 2022. The app allows workers to accurately record their personal timesheets and cross-reference projected pay against their paycheck’s gross pay (pre-withholding amount). If workers find inconsistencies on their paychecks, they can contact DOL Wage and Hour Division investigators with information exported from the app. The app also provides functionality for employers needing a timekeeping system that allows them to log individual employees.
From 2015 to September 2023, the iPhone app underwent 13,982 net installs (i.e., installs minus deletions). From the Android version’s 2022 launch to September 2023, the app underwent an additional 4,577 net installs. In September 2023 alone, the iPhone version appeared over 11,000 times in Apple App Store searches and received 1,879 page views. The Android version received 1,000 page views in the Google Play Store. DOL continually updates the app to deliver the best possible tool to America’s workers.
