    CooperSurgical, a CooperCompanies subsidiary, is a prominent global provider of diverse products, technologies, and services specializing in reproductive care, fertility & birth, and women’s care. CooperSurgical’s wide range of products and services, from contraception to fertility and genomic solutions to gynecological care, covers many aspects of fertility and women’s health. 

    By providing solutions to fertility care that encompass every step of the fertility journey, including pre-implantation genetic testing technology, products and services for use in IVF labs, and donor eggs and sperm, CooperSurgical gives patients and their providers the tools they need to conceive, deliver, and protect healthy babies. 

    Additionally, the company’s presence in women’s health through medical devices, gynecological solutions, and women’s care treatments for various conditions, provides faster options to keep women healthy throughout their lives.     CooperSurgical has an outstanding history of enhancing employee relations, organizational culture, and building trust from recruitment through to retirement. This is evidenced by proactive efforts in expanding employee benefits, career development resources, and recruitment procedures. 

    CooperSurgical’s fertility treatment benefits include access to care advocates who provide family-building support and education. The company also offers guidance to external organizations on how to implement similar benefits and support fertility as a critical component of a comprehensive benefits package. In 2022, CooperSurgical introduced Talkspace, a digital resource for mental health support to ensure employees have the tools they need to prioritize their mental wellbeing. 

    CooperSurgical has made great investments in diversity and inclusion initiatives by forming employee resource groups (ERGs) such as African Descent, Women’s Impact Network, Mind & Body Wellbeing, and CooperPride. Each group promotes community while offering professional and personal development opportunities. Over 22% of employees belong to an ERG, marking a growing interest in influencing how employees interact and recognize one another. 

    With inclusion and diversity at its core, CooperSurgical has also revamped how it engages with prospective employees, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility to all job postings.     Diverse ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds are crucial to driving innovation and creating a positive experience for both employees and consumers. The ERGs are a case in point. 

    For CooperPride, members partnered with the CooperSurgical HR team to review benefits coverage and ensure parity for same-sex partners. Additionally, CooperSurgical received a perfect score of 100% on the 2022 Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index. 

    Through the Women’s Impact Network, CooperSurgical launched a program in 2022 called “Expand Your Potential” designed as a series of workshops for women to engage in self-discovery, which has been shown to result in an improvement in confidence and team interaction. By the program’s second year, the number of participants had grown ten-fold. After completing the program, 44% of participants were either promoted or had enrolled in higher education. CooperSurgical is investing an additional $2 million over the next three years in digital learning solutions, such as LinkedIn Learning, as part of its Management Accelerator program to equip high-performing professionals with leadership skills. 

    In 2023, CooperSurgical launched an updated New Product Introduction Model designed to strengthen the process of developing and launching a new product from conception to discontinuation. With this model, there is more accountability and better communication across functions, which provides more avenues for employee participation in our product roadmap. These accomplishments underscore CooperSurgical's efforts to transform healthcare. By sharing their knowledge with other companies adopting similar initiatives, CooperSurgical’s impact extends beyond its own workforce, contributing to a larger, global change.
