    Farmers Copper is a supplier of copper and various other metals. In honor of their 100th anniversary, they wanted to launch a new, brighter website that would include their new branding all the way through (see before and after of the homepage in Supporting Visuals).  

    Farmers specifically wanted to highlight their materials throughout the site. This was done by including the alloy-specific search bar in the hero image on the homepage and on other relevant pages throughout. A revised navigation was structured to make it easier for users to not only find the product they wanted by material, but also by shape and application (markets served). In addition, materials and shapes are cross-referenced. 

    Imagery and iconography were used to make it easier for a customer to recognize that the item they were looking at was the correct metal, size, or shape. Specifications for each product are demonstrated with imagery that helps explain the appropriateness of that product for specific needs (see example page in attached Supporting Visuals). 

    The goal of the new website was to be more user-friendly and bring in more online leads. Over the 6 months since launch (late May 2021), overall form submissions increased by 85.49% (2480 v 1337). Organic form submissions increased by 64.33% in the first three months post-launch (820 v 499) and continued going up – 80.91% (1677 v 927) in the first six months.
