WMP Crates offers steel containers and shipping logistics. Recently rebranded as Wright Metal Products Crates, they wanted a new, responsive website that would reflect this new branding. In an industry that is slow to change, Wright wanted to make sure their new site not only reflected a cohesive brand but also wanted to remind customers of what made them so effective in the first place. That’s why, despite wanting more of a focus on the logistics side of the company, they made sure to include the custom crates and racks at a high level.
The original website, besides being outdated, was also deficient in explaining exactly what Wright offers in terms of services. Wright is the only company offering these services to have a closed-loop approach – they are a one-stop shop for crating and logistical needs. Because they offer turnkey crate logistics, this service is the first item in the new navigation and is mentioned above the fold on the homepage.
The distinctive new “W’ was used subtly throughout the site as a design element. Content was also expanded on various pages. This included an emphasis on Wright’s sustainable crating and logistics options. The pages with new content are averaging a 71.43% increase in traffic when compared to just after launch. Overall, since launch, the site averages 1238.25 visitors. Of the traffic that has converted, over half have come from organic sources (25 v 46).
