    Scenthound is a membership-based, dog-wellness concept and we set out to revolutionize the way people think about and access routine care for dogs. We opened our doors with one goal – to keep dogs clean and healthy. 

    After many years in the pet care business, we spotted a gaping hole in the industry and a massively under-served market. Most dogs weren't getting proper care since there were a lot of misconceptions about grooming. Differentiated from traditional dog grooming that focuses on breed-specific styling, Scenthound provides a unique approach with its focus on routine and preventive care for dogs in five core areas: Skin, Coat, Ears, Nails and Teeth (SCENT). Our Basic Hygiene service meets the essential care needs of every dog and allows us to capture the entire market of dogs, not just the 10% of popular breeds that need haircuts.

    Scenthound is establishing itself as the preeminent solution for routine and preventive dog care, perfectly positioned to take advantage of growing pet spending nationwide and emerging at the right time to foster rapid growth. Scenthound has doubled in size in the last year, with over 215 locations currently open or in development across 22 U.S. states.

    • The Scenthound team has had many achievements that have shaped our brand and success. We launched the Scenthound mobile app, which allows customers to book appointments, review their dog's monthly wellness check, and more.  As part of the new app, we rolled out a partnership with AskVet, a virtual vet service that allows our members to chat with a vet 24/7.

    We established an Advisory Board with a lineup of prominent business leaders, including David Long, CEO and Co-Founder of Orangetheory Fitness; Clay Perfall, formerly of Archway Marketing Services, and Michael Sutton, Managing Director at Guideboat Capital.

    Scenthound established a subsidiary company, Scenthound Services, to focus on product development and innovation. We also created our own shampoo line to provide formulas that meet the hygiene need of dogs.

    We launched a training center within Peggy Adam's Rescue League, a no-kill animal shelter, as a part of our “Clean Start” partnership (a partnership with local rescues to give free services to shelter pups and newly adopted dogs) to train all our franchisees and staff at this facility.

    We developed and executed an Operations Performance Checklist, an audit tool to measure the impact of foundational departmental processes, cleanliness and maintenance of facilities, and team engagement. This helped us identify areas of opportunity and prioritize future efforts.

    We signed 49 franchise partners for 174 units demonstrating their trust and confidence in our brand and team.  We opened 35 new locations (a 583.33% growth since 2020) across 13 states.
