Scott Francis has been in the document imaging industry for over 30 years, and he has a background in storage systems, content management software, and most importantly, document scanners. He has been at PFU America, Inc. for the last 20 years leading the charge in bringing document scanning and digital transformation solutions to the masses. In his current role as Technology Evangelist, Scott is dedicated to creating awareness for the technologies that help businesses and government institutions achieve cost savings, enhance productivity, improve customer service, and provide higher business intelligence and compliance. He believes this will allow businesses to provide more value to their customers and society overall. Scott educates companies, media, industry influencers and others on the benefits of digital transformation and the potential to eliminate manual processes, increase business intelligence, and maximize productivity. At its best, the technology can provide amazing customer experiences that provide a fast, accurate, secure, and easy way to do business within a company. In his role as Technology Evangelist at PFU America, Inc., Scott Francis has successfully communicated his vision and insights on digital transformation and future of workplace to businesses and management teams across many industries, including healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and education. He utilized many thought leadership platforms to create awareness and fulfill his company’s vision of bringing document scanning and digital transformation technologies to the masses. Known for his thought leadership in the digital transformation space, he has been invited to speak at industry conferences and webinars and has authored many articles in publications across a broad range of vertical industries, including healthcare, education, manufacturing, and finance. Scott has educated healthcare leaders and presented at several Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conferences across the country. In his talks, Scott explained how healthcare organizations and frontline workers can balance the goal to provide a higher level of patient care with the need to work smarter. He also provided examples and steps that even small rural healthcare organizations can take to digitize their operations, boosting efficiency while meeting compliance mandates and streamlining the migration from paper to electronic health records.
