Since its inception in March 2022, the Center has grown as a trusted community for over 5,500 global board members, C-suite executives, general counsels, and governance professionals to engage in ongoing education resources that strengthen board effectiveness. In addition to accessing content authored by subject matter experts across Nasdaq’s global governance network, our members have opportunities to connect through our thought leadership-focused webinars, events, and roundtables.

The Nasdaq Center for Board Excellence provides thought leadership and best practices guidance on issues impacting board members and leaders with the objective of advancing governance excellence and driving sustained success. With over 50 assets (including blog posts, whitepapers, videos, and reports) published since March 2022, the Center remains at the forefront of thought leadership curation by leaning into Nasdaq’s unique position as a global exchange, technology innovator and provider of solutions to keep a pulse on emerging trends and to share insights around how to address emerging challenges while uncovering opportunities to drive sustained growth and value.
Since 2022, the Center has established and grown collaborations with organizations that share our commitment to providing resources to help leaders navigate an ambiguous landscape of evolving risks across regulations, geopolitics, economic woes, sustainability concerns, cyber risks, technological transformation and much more. In 2023, we partnered with the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), WTW, Equilar, and members of the Wharton Alumni for Boards to curate blog posts, whitepapers, surveys and reports that introduce fresh perspectives on board composition, sustainability strategy and reporting and board best practices. These, combined with our thought leadership publications, resonated with our audience by aggregating 14.4 k pageviews and 3k content downloads last year.
Additionally, we continued to lean into our Insights Council members, who are board members and executives that are subject matter experts in their areas, to identify topics related to boardroom governance and develop relevant insights across key governance disciplines.

The Center continues to support boards and leaders through access to community, insights, and education, combining unique skills and expertise from across Nasdaq to deliver an exceptional experience. We have produced thought leadership that highlights the voices of leading experts, thereby encouraging upskilling while empowering members to be effective decision-makers. The Center has also facilitated the establishment of authentic connections among members and organizations. Since 2022, we have hosted over 25 events that featured Nasdaq leaders in conversation with executives and board members from leading companies, such as Victoria’s Secret, ADP, DocuSign, Unilever, and more.
After being presented with the Gold Stevie Award for Achievement in Thought Leadership in 2023, the Center has intentionally actioned feedback to enhance members’ experiences by facilitating increased opportunities for in-person engagement. We launched the Board Member Exchange Series to provide board and C-suite leaders opportunities to connect in an intimate and trusted setting to discuss emerging issues, share best practices, and strengthen corporate governance together. Additionally, we launched a new video series, Boardroom Talks, to highlight insights from community members with our wider audience. This initiative has resonated well with our audience, having generated 9k video views in 2023.
Additionally, we have continued to develop strong brand equity across our initiatives. Throughout these efforts, the Center remains committed to offering quality thought leadership on a complimentary basis.
