        Lauded as a nationally-recognized women’s health advocate, Michelle King Robson is the Founder, Chairperson and CEO of EmpowHER, one of the fastest-growing and largest health media companies dedicated exclusively to women's health and wellness. She started the company following her own personal struggle with a debilitating health issue that left her feeling hopeless, alone and on the verge of taking her own life. In EmpowHER, Michelle has built a company that provides women with the most comprehensive and up-to-date information available on women's health, as well as a forum for women to connect and share stories of struggle and hope.

        Launched in November of 2008, the company's website, EmpowHER.com, is already a Top 5 women's health and wellness content and community site. In 2010, EmpowHER.com attracted nearly 10 million unique visitors. Through a video syndication partnership, EmpowHER’s video content garnered an additional 7 million unique views on AOL Health and other premiere health and wellness sites. Michelle King Robson and EmpowHER have been featured in the Huffington Post, Minyanville, More Magazine, NBC, ABC, and CNN, among others.         Michelle has testified before the FDA, and has led the second largest write-in campaign in FDA history for drugs and treatments for women's health. She is an active philanthropist and community volunteer whose work on various women’s and children’s causes as well as the arts has earned her numerous awards and citations, including the Fresh Start Women’s Foundation’s Founder’s Award; the WNBA Phoenix Mercury’s Inspiring Business Women Award, which she received at a ceremony that also honored tennis icon Billie Jean King; the National Osteoporosis Foundation’s Health Communications Award, which she received with fellow award-winner actress Sally Field; and the Arizona State University College of Nursing & Health Innovation’s Discover Award, an honor she received among esteemed recipients including Dr. Richard Carmona, former Surgeon General of the United States. Michelle was also honored with the Best Supporting Role in a Community Award from the Arthritis Foundation. Michelle was Chairman of the governor-appointed Arizona Character Education Blue Ribbon Task Force. She was also appointed to serve on the Governor’s Commission on Women’s and Children’s Health.
