She started the company following her own personal struggle with a debilitating health issue that left her feeling hopeless, alone and on the verge of taking her own life. In EmpowHER, Michelle has built a company that provides women with the most comprehensive and up-to-date information available on women's health, as well as a forum for women to connect and share stories of struggle and hope.
Launched in November of 2008, the company's website, EmpowHER.com, is already a Top 5 women's health and wellness content and community site. In 2010, EmpowHER.com attracted nearly 10 million unique visitors. Through a video syndication partnership, EmpowHER’s video content garnered an additional 7 million unique views on AOL Health and other premiere health and wellness sites.
