The Lime Skincare Company is a soap and skincare company based out of Cleveland, Ohio. LSC was built and conceived in late 2018. LSC was started by middle school student, Nicholas Lime. Nicholas has always had a passion for skincare, so at his young age, he decided to turn one of his passions into a company. In early 2020, LSC's lineup of products took a huge turn. Instead of focusing on aromatherapy, Nicholas shifted his focus to the power of peptides in skincare formulas. Today, LSC's lineup consists of soaps, sheet masks, exfoliants, and now facial moisturizers. LSC started as an e-commerce-only company. But in early 2021, that changed. LSC signed its first retailer in January of 2021. That number has now grown by over 1000% as LSC has partnered with 11 different retailers. LSC managed to navigate its company through a global pandemic, through several rebrands, as well as several supplier changes. Through all of the unprecedented times, The Lime Skincare Company has powered through and fulfilled its promise of providing clean, handmade, and safe products to its customers. LSC is wholly-owned and operated by Nicholas Lime, a current student with plans to continue his company after graduation.

  4. If you are providing written answers for your submission, you must provide an answer to this second question: Outline the organization's achievements since the beginning of 2021 that you wish to bring to the judges' attention (up to 250 words):

    Total 250 words used.

At the beginning of 2021, The Lime Skincare Company partnered with one retailer who carried their products. Now, LSC has established relationships with 11 different retail partners. This number is expected to grow. While LSC has built a huge online presence, it's still important to maintain retail partnerships to appeal to different demographics.

In May 2022, LSC signed with a new skincare laboratory. This partnership allowed a 21% decrease in manufacturing costs, passing those savings on to the customers.

In July of 2022, LSC completely revamped its online website. This revamp included a new design, a more efficient shipping partner, as well as better analytic systems to gain more information about their customers. This resulted in a 77% boost in sales for the second half of 2022.

In September 2022, LSC launched its line of facial sheet masks. This line was the biggest launch in LSC history. The LSC website sold out of the new line in under 24 hours. This set a new record for the company. Nicholas is determined to add to the line of sheet masks in 2023.

Finally, in November 2022, LSC was asked to join FOX 8 news to host a segment on sustainable skincare products. This was a great way to launch their holiday product line, which also sold out in under 24 hours. The website was restocked in under a week with the help of their new skincare laboratory.

To put it in simple terms, 2022 was the most successful year of LSC.

  5. If you are providing written answers for your submission, you must provide an answer to this third question: Explain why the achievements you have highlighted are unique or significant. If possible compare the achievements to the performance of other players in your industry and/or to the organization's past performance (up to 250 words):

    Total 250 words used.

In this day and age, many new brands tend to focus on e-commerce only. However, LSC maintains several retail relationships as well as a very large online e-commerce presence. This is something that many other companies simply do not do. LSC has adapted through all of the changes that e-commerce and retail companies have faced throughout the past couple of years.

Creating and maintaining a website that functions properly is something that many brands are not up to speed with. Limeskincareco.com ship products all around the globe, 24/7. They also offer a rewards program on their website, which is something you don't see with every company.

LSC's line of sheet masks that launched in September 2022, marked the biggest launch in LSC history. Working with their new laboratory, LSC was able to formulate and design this line using state-of-the-art equipment and formulation techniques. Many companies still manufacture their skincare products overseas. However, LSC manufactures and designs all of its products in the USA. LSC also used its unique analytic collecting techniques to discover what products and ingredients its customers wanted. With the success of their sheet mask line in September, it is clear to see that these analytics were accurate.

Lastly, Cleveland's Own Fox 8 news inviting LSC on the air for a segment was a very exciting time for their company. Nicholas enjoyed getting to educate the people of Cleveland about safe skincare ingredients and how to look out for them. This form of advertising was very successful
