Anne McNally is Vice President and Head of Communications at John Hancock. In this role, Ms. McNally protects and promotes John Hancock's 158-year reputation as a leading provider of financial services for nearly ten million customers in the US. She is responsible for reputation management, brand messaging, media relations, employee engagement, executive communications, thought leadership and events.

Of note, as part of the company’s commitment to inclusive leadership, Ms. McNally helped to launch a multitude of programs and initiatives that have changed John Hancock for the better. These programs include but are not limited to: Signature Series, Camp Manulife/John Hancock, the “You Are Essential. We Are Grateful” campaign and the Guest Speaker Series.

Previously, Ms. McNally served as Global Head of Public Relations for State Street, responsible for public relations and integrated promotions across the organization. During her tenure, she created the concept of and led the public relations strategy for State Street Global Advisors’ “Fearless Girl.” The campaign served – and continues to serve – as a pillar to hold companies accountable for their internal gender diversity and asset stewardship initiatives.
