Gov2Biz has made significant strides in Corporate Social Responsibility with the development of Gov2Biz POETCS in collaboration with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC). This comprehensive mobile/web application enhances regulatory compliance and public safety at Texas-Mexico border.
POETCS is a comprehensive mobile/web application designed to streamline regulatory compliance processes and safeguard public safety. The officers in the agency’s Ports of Entry Department monitor 28 Texas-Mexico border crossings and two terminals at the Galveston Seaport. Leveraging advanced technology and real-time data analysis, the application enables TABC regulatory compliance officers to effectively monitor and manage the importation of alcohol into Texas. It deals with several nuances of ports of entry processes like disallow, seizure and destruction, tax collection, supervisor audits, etc. all from a mobile point of sale (POS) system that works on existing smartphones, without the need to be tethered to desks.
Gov2Biz POETCS ensures adherence to legal restrictions and regulations, aiming to prevent illegal alcohol importation and underage access and facilitates collection of taxes and fees associated with imported alcohol. Through its intuitive interface, officers efficiently verify compliance and take necessary actions. The app utilizes advanced monitoring and analytics to proactively identify threats to public safety, enhancing border security and protecting communities.
The solution's convenience has made officers more efficient. Tax Compliance Officers seized over 1,000 containers of illicit alcohol and prevented illegal importation of crystal methamphetamines. TABC also increased projected revenue from $12M to $14M between 2023 and 2024 on Compliance and Tax collection from Port of Entry.
