    Elev8 New Media began planning this campaign in the Spring of 2021 with The Alkaline Water Company. The campaign was launched once The Alkaline Water Co. secured an agreement with Shaquille O’Neal. Approximate date: April 2021

    This campaign was established to bring awareness to The Alkaline Water Company’s newest partnership. Shaquille O’Neal signed on to be The Alkaline Water Company’s equity partner, member of their Board of Advisors, and marquee brand ambassador for their flagship water product, Alkaline88. The partnership signified major growth for the company and Elev8 New Media leveraged the media to create a conversation around this topic and more.

    At Elev8 New Media, we believe in creating long-lasting and personal relationships with our media contacts. We build out media contact lists for every newsworthy item on behalf of our clients and communicate our messages strategically through personal emails and phone calls. We sometimes (if time and clients allow) offer news to producers and writers under embargo to build trust and secure coverage opportunities. Additionally, we craft unique follow-up responses to our previously pitched contacts if we do not hear back from them during our first round of media outreach.

    Elev8’s carefully curated campaign for The Alkaline Water Company was no different and it turned out to be one of the most noteworthy campaigns of the year. The announcement took place in May 2021. Basketball legend Hall of Famer, and entertainment icon, Shaquille O’Neal, joined The Alkaline Water Company as an equity partner and a member of the Company’s Board of Advisors. He also now serves as a marquee brand ambassador for the company’s flagship product, Alkaline88. Elev8 New Media handled all media relations efforts on behalf of The Alkaline Water Company from launch to current, continuing public relations efforts. Our team shared this news via email and phone with over 180 carefully selected media contacts and outlets. We drafted personalized introductions for new connections and shared the most relevant information.

    Due in part to Elev8’s efforts, Alkaline88 is now widely recognized as a beverage brand backed by Shaquille O’Neal. Additionally, Elev8 New Media was recently awarded the Media Relations Award for Consumer Products at the 57th Annual PRSA LA PRism Awards for this campaign.
