The Mug Shot ad first ran on December 27, 2004.

   2. Briefly describe this nomination’s communications objectives and how it met those objectives (up to 100 words):

The objective of this ad was to highlight the waste being caused by
inefficient printers in the workplace. Our research told us that all advertising
in the copier category looks the same, so we set about making sure Toshiba would get noticed. The ad was launched late in December, in addition to the two print ads,
there is a microsite that customers can visit to learn more. We have had over
15,000 visits to the microsite with several hundred leads being fed to Toshiba’s
dealers so far.
