    Doctor Subscription Program was made available to Align customers in September 2020The Doctor Subscription Program (DSP) is a monthly subscription program designed for a segment of experienced Invisalign doctors who are not regularly using our retainers or low-stage aligners. 

    The Doctor Subscription Program provides the following benefits for Invisalign® doctors:

    • Simplicity:  Consolidates suppliers and achieves economies of scale
    • Quality:  Capitalizes on Align’s manufacturing capabilities to improve predictability and results.
    • Flexibility: Choose from 3-10 stages for limited treatment, plus flexible retention products for all treatment types
    • Savings: Increase efficiency and reduce costs and overhead
    • Opportunity: Capture patient demand for limited treatment and keep patients in your practice with the Vivera® Retainer Subscription. The Vivera® Retainer Subscription is a platform within DSP that allows doctors to create their own subscription for retention based on doctor preference and customer needs.

    The Doctor Subscription Program can be used for limited treatment, retention, and the Vivera® Retainer Subscription, and we’ve provided doctors a platform to make it easy to prescribe these treatments. The DSP platform includes the ability for doctors to select and purchase their subscription, monitor usage, and access marketing and training materials, webinars with their peers to learn best practices, and conversation guides to help them easily explain these products to their patients.   

    Align has taken it a step further for Dental Service Organizations (DSOs), large practices that have one main office. We have built a special portal called Align Special Market Portal (ASMP) for  DSOs to track and monitor their overall corporate results as well as individual practices, upgrade package types, upgrade product types, and set pricing limits for the Vivera® Retainer Subscription for their practices.

    For the Vivera® Retainer Subscription, doctors can establish several settings, including the number of retainers to be included per year based on their expertise, unique price options for their patients, and varying payment options via a payment vendor.  The platform manages ordering and production of the retainers based on the frequency selected, shipment to the doctor’s office on the cadence specified, and payment processing between the patient and their doctor. It is easy for doctors to share the quote with their patients, enable their patients to sign up for the retention option they choose, and receive payments on a cadence their patients select. 

    The Doctor Subscription Program, including limited Invisalign® treatment, Vivera® retainers, and the Vivera® Retainer Subscription, provides Invisalign® trained doctors with solutions to meet prospective and existing patient needs. The objective is to have a platform that allows doctors to track and manage patients and the practice’s subscription of discounted low stage and retention products. These trending and utilization metrics allow doctors and their practice to maintain their allotment and scale their practice.

    The Vivera® Retainer Subscription helps doctors easily support their patients’ smile maintenance post orthodontic treatment. Historically, patients have not understood the importance of long-term retention nor how, when or where to reorder replacement retainers. With the introduction of VRS patients and doctors both have a user-friendly way to maintain their retention subscription and smile.
