    Total 192 words used.

Twelve years ago, 2600Hz co-founders Darren Schreiber and Patrick Sullivan saw a gap in the telecom industry: carriers that could handle heavy volumes but didn’t offer flexibility, and open-source single-server solutions that weren't designed for scale.
To address this issue, Darren and Patrick founded a tech company in a non-traditional manner, without venture capital funding and operating as an open-source project. With this vision in mind, they established 2600Hz and developed a telecom solution that could handle large user capacity and allow their partners to build their own integrations
2600Hz’s flagship product, KAZOO, is a hybrid cloud communications platform that pairs a suite of prebuilt applications with a library of over 300 open APIs, giving partners both the basic telecom features they need to get started and the developer tools and assets to build their own integrations. Further streamlining and boosting this product, KAZOO 5.1 was rolled out in October 2022.
2600Hz serves millions everyday, with 4.8 billion minutes processed per year, 650,000 devices under management, 500 servers managed, and 60 countries served. 2600Hz is constantly adding apps, features, and functionality to KAZOO to help partners grow their businesses.
  4. If you are providing written answers for your submission, you must provide an answer to this second question: Outline the organization's achievements since the beginning of 2021 that you wish to bring to the judges' attention (up to 250 words):

    Total 246 words used.

The amount of business applications that people tend to use has grown exponentially over the past few years, making communication complicated. One of the issues we see in different solutions on the market is a lack of customization.
comm.land, our newest product, launched in October 2022, is customizable, and by bringing all user’s tools (UC and Call Center functionality) into one intuitive UI, businesses can operate effectively. comm.land is divided into easy-to-access workspaces,  including video conferencing, chat, faxes, contacts, and phone.
    Key features include:
    • Host or join a video conference
    • Toggle between voice, video, and screenshare with webphone
    • Access call history, parked calls, visual voicemails, one-click callback, and added screenpops for inbound calls
In order to create this product, we focused on engineering. Our engineering team wrote several different architectural iterations, concluding that using a single-page application or micro-services application allows for agility and easy customization. New content loads dynamically without having to load entirely new pages, and apps made of components (or smaller apps) can be owned by different teams and deployed independently. For example, we can run just the Phone Workspace as a stand-alone workspace. With these two applications in comm.land, the options are endless!
    [REDACTED FOR PUBLICATION]
  5. If you are providing written answers for your submission, you must provide an answer to this third question: Explain why the achievements you have highlighted are unique or significant. If possible compare the achievements to the performance of other players in your industry and/or to the organization's past performance (up to 250 words):

    Total 238 words used.

Our partners want to grow and sell their brands. [REDACTED FOR PUBLICATION] While comm.land is not fully white labeled at this point, it is on the roadmap, and this allows companies to bring their brands to market quickly, allowing them to focus on marketing and selling. Our partners also have complete control and customization of the feature set and interface, and end users can work on whatever device they prefer.
While these are certainly unique features, where comm.land really starts to differentiate from the rest of the market is in its approach. Currently, the telecom industry's main focus is on the notion of Unified Communications. comm.land shifts away from this focus, and prioritizes a more holistic idea of Unified Business. This approach is two-fold. The first way it achieves this is by providing access to a robust ecosystem of additional apps and services via the 2600Hz Marketplace. The second is its ability to integrate existing third-party sites [REDACTED FOR PUBLICATION] and services directly within the comm.land interface.

comm.land gives users the tools to customize their UI so that they can pick and choose which tools/apps they embed. With comm.land, users spend less time navigating between various browser windows and tabs, support portals, ticket systems, documentation sites, messaging and chat services, and business email. This leads to a more efficient workforce.

  6. You have the option to answer this final question: Reference any attachments of supporting materials throughout this nomination and how they provide evidence of the claims you have made in this nomination (up to 250 words):
