Nomination Title: Kinja Dixon, Sales Representative

Tell the story about what this nominee achieved since the beginning of July 2011 (up to 500 words). Focus on specific accomplishments, and relate these accomplishments to past performance or industry norms. Be sure to mention obstacles overcome, innovations or discoveries made, and outcomes:

Kinja Dixon, Sales Representative at Wyndham Vacation Ownership, has been an exceptional example of an outstanding sales professional. He is focused on each potential owner's needs, and dedicated to his individual code of discipline and ethics - and wildly successful as a result.

He is the overall leader at his site for sales volume. This year he will exceed $4,500,000 in volume for a site that is, in reality, an 8.5-month track. He has established two new site sales records for monthly volume, substantially beating the previous mark. (The earlier record was $595,302.) His close rate for 2012 is 45%; he has personally delivered 24 new owners to the company; and he manages to maintain a low rescission rate. As well, 99%+ of his business is non-split business.

As is the case with every gifted sales professional, this nominee takes on all tour types; his particular site breaks down to 50% owner tours and 50% non-owner tours. By perfecting the ability to sell to every tour type, he has won the title of site representative for President's Council for three consecutive years, and has also earned his company's Championship designation.

This nominee suggested, implemented, and led the execution of an extremely beneficial program for his team called "Nugget Training." Nugget Training is designed for each rep to provide a "nugget" of information or technique that could be used immediately by every person on the team. The nominee's manager - who happens to be the number one manager in their region of Williamsburg, Virginia - credits this particular training program for significantly impacting their team's success.

The nominee also successfully mentored four sales reps this year who have become significant contributors to their site. He has never refused to help anyone seeking his advice and input. He is very open with how he views the sales process, and freely shares his sales insight.

He believes "It is imperative that the client's needs are assessed correctly," and it is his genuine engagement with potential owners that breeds success.

This site does not have a dedicated owner and non-owner line, each sales rep is expected to excel with all tour types. Arrivals to this site are 50% owner and 50% non-owner, one of the highest non-owner arrival sites within the company. The nominee has never allowed this constriction to stand in his way; he simply educates, adjusts, and adapts his way to success.

In addition to all his achievements, this nominee developed a successful podium presentation specifically designed to be used for road shows and dinner parties, and declined to accept compensation for this innovation. The results delivered from these presentations more than doubled the budgeted VPG's for these tours throughout 2012.

It's because of these impressive accomplishments that we believe Kinja Dixon is worthy of recognition as Sales Representative of the Year.
