Luciano Baptista has earned the figures to become the number one representative at his site in the highly-visited Orlando, Fla. Achieving top sales status is extremely difficult, as his is a site of 200 representatives versus most sites with 20 to 60. And yet — not only is he the number one producer at his site, but the Wyndham Destinations President’s Club reporting (which tracks the most successful sales individuals) indicates he is on pace to achieve number one status in his entire company.
Luciano’s most outstanding contributions benefit his sales floor even more than they benefit him. He has frequently been witnessed turning a low-energy sales meeting of more than 100 representatives into an inspirational and unforgettable get-together. His positive passion is unbelievable, and he maintains his enthusiasm while exercising great personal humility.
Luciano has been with Wyndham Destinations for only three years, and he has made President’s Club for each of those years. It is in his character to help others. For example, there are two representatives who were both on the verge of losing their jobs last year. He took these two under his wing, and was the best mentor a person could ask for. Both of those individuals made President’s Club this year, and will likely be lifetime employees with the company. As well, these two representatives have gone on to mentor other associates, paying forward the care and attention they received in order to benefit others.
Another impressive quality of Luciano’s is determination. He worked 60 days in a row to accomplish his goal of trying to be the number one representative for his company.
Luciano is one of the few representatives that can see the sales perspective and the marketing perspective simultaneously. At one time he was a sales manager, so he sees the big picture. He doesn’t only care about his own personal production level; he sees what’s best for marketing, what’s best for his site, and what’s best for the customer as well. His marketing philosophy is customer obsession, and his customers always come first. He is a firm believer that you attract more bees with honey than with vinegar. He also understands people are not just buying a vacation; they are buying him, as well as a lifestyle and a brand.
