Tokio Marine HCC – WorldTrips was established in 1998 in Indianapolis, Indiana. We were among the first to make insurance products and services available via the Internet. Our customers can review coverage options, obtain quotes, purchase insurance, and receive their insurance documents – all electronically, without human intervention, 24 hours a day. Today, many thousands of international insurance professionals host HCC electronic tools on their websites, and this number continues to grow.
WorldTrips Mission is to provide explorers with travel insurance and assistance services for the unexpected. We enable globetrotters to cross borders with confidence. We do this for the love of travel and to provide travelers more safety and security when leaving home.
As a result of our continued growth, WorldTrips launched a new Trip Cancellation product in the US Market in 2021. As a result, we have continued to implement feedback from our key Advisors in order to expand our technological capabilities.
Last year, WorldTrips received a Bronze Stevie Award in the category of Sales distinction of the year – Computer Software. We are excited to introduce another Team achievement in the same category this year.

As referenced above, WorldTrips introduced our first set of Trip Cancellation products in the United States market in 2021. In order to grow our market presence, WorldTrips has focused on Technology to streamline the selling process for our Travel Advisors. Our introduction of both customized quoting solutions and agent self-service is second to none in industry. Furthermore, our technical focus has allowed us to grow our distribution channels by 50% since 2021.
WorldTrips has recently built a new Trip Cancellation Group Quoting Tool in support of “Group Insurance” plans. Key features for Travel Advisors include:
- Flexibility to add travelers on the Group until an aggregate trip cost maximum reaches $500,000.
- Flexibility to modify individuals trip details until the day before departure.
- Plans allow Pre-Existing Medical waiver to until Final Trip Payment
- Bulk upload of Group travelers is available for Advisors via CSV upload technology.
- State-of-the-art administration tool (PAS) updated to allow Advisors to search Groups by Name, Number and Quote number
The new Trip Cancellation Group quoting tool was created as part of a comprehensive project and received input from numerous Stakeholders within the WorldTrips organization including:
- Sales & Underwriting
- Compliance
- IT DevOps (including Project Management)
- Marketing
We believe these changes are first in class enhancements that will ultimately lead to WorldTrips being a leading provider in the Group insurance market.

I'm so grateful I met Andria at our Oasis Conference in Cabo last month. Not only is she fun, she went above and beyond in so many ways both personally and professionally that I feel I have a friend for life. She was instrumental in taking the time to work with me to set up a Group policy during one of our breaks. I can't tell you the stress it took off of me knowing that my clients would be taken care of and at a great value. I like the flexibility of the Group policy as it allows me to add passengers as they are added to the Group. I am able to send individual quotes to each traveler for them to review and then purchase or call me to finish the purchase on their behalf. WorldTrips has been very responsive to my inquiries and has become my go to travel insurance company.

The new Trip Cancellation Group quoting tool features are unique in Industry. The enhancements allow Advisors to simplify their Group enrollments and to grow their block of business. A few unique elements of the tool for Advisors are highlighted as follows:
Saved Quotes:
- Addition of a “Get Group Quote” button to allow the Advisors to start the process of compiling a Group quote
- Advisors are able to send quotes directly to customers to enroll as part of the Group

- Designed to allow each individual traveler to pay with their own credit card or a single-payment option to pay for the entire Group
- WorldTrips is now taking on the credit card fee instead of the travel advisor.
Change in Group Travel policies:
- Reissue policy documents automatically to the each of travelers when changes occur
- Each Traveler still receives their own insurance document based on their state of residence.
- With individual fulfillments this takes the responsibility off of the travel advisor or group leader.
Support Features:
- Includes WorldTrips contact information (phone/email) for 24/7 Travel Assistance when providing Group insurance.
Again, we believe these changes are first in class enhancements that will ultimately lead to WorldTrips being a leading provider in the Group insurance market.
