    Awarded the GOLD Individual Hero of the Year trophy for helping other during COVID-19 and GOLD Customer Service Hero of the Year trophy in the International Business Awards, Executive Vice President Steve Finnegan is known for his non-stop professional and customer service mentality. His most praise-worthy superhero story occurred during the COVID-19 crisis. This story demonstrates our philosophy of customer service: Though we do not them, when a problem does occur, it is an opportunity for us to prove to our clients exactly why Makers Nutrition is the #1 choice full turnkey operation for the dietary supplement industry.

    Seen on Worldwide Business with Kathy Ireland®, Mr. Finnegan’s 30+ years of business experience serves our company, staff, and clients well, as he understands what it takes to grow a business quickly and effectively. His managerial skills have served our company well, sliding us into our $30 million annual revenue goal. Without Mr. Finnegan’s endless effort and constant inspiration, Makers Nutrition would not have been named an Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Company twice in three years, and we are beyond thrilled to follow his lead.

  5. Explain why the achievements you have highlighted are unique or significant. If possible compare the achievements to the performance of other players in your industry and/or to the nominee's past performance (up to 250 words):

    Makers Nutrition works with top-performing carriers. Almost always on time and delivering freight in pristine condition, during the COVID-19 crisis, we did experience a hiccup.   After understanding that our best carrier dropped the ball and delivered a shipment to Texas when it should have gone to Arizona, Steve arranged a re-delivery, accommodating our client with above and beyond service. 

    If the products were found in bad condition due to unusually long transit time, Steve communicated with our client that we would take it back and produce a new batch in replacement, free of charge. It was agreed that we would refund his entire shipping cost. Swift handling of the situation by Steve resulted in the following exchange:

    Client: “The shipment arrived, product is in good shape. Thank you for your help. I look forward to blowing this order out and making an even bigger order. Also, I opened a canister up, put a scoop in water and stirred. It dissolved well and tasted delicious. This formula is a winner. Thank you for the concession on the shipping refund, too. Great service recovery by you and your team. Thank you.”

    Steve responded, thanking our client for his business and apologies for the holdup in receiving his product. Client: “You have a great team, and your folks did a good job communicating with me during the entire situation. I plan on leaving you guys a five-star Google review. Most of all, I look forward to a long-term fruitful relationship.”

    To say that Executive Vice President and General Manager Stephen Finnegan is deserving of the Customer Service Leader award would be an understatement. Steve's ability to make each and every customer who comes in contact with Makers Nutrition feel taken care of is astounding. He makes coming to work every day a pleasure, bringing light to any dark day, which is no easy task for executives whose focus is mostly on the dollar sign.
