Nomination Title: iolo technologies Sales Team

Tell the story about what this nominated team achieved since the beginning of July 2010 (up to 500 words). Focus on specific accomplishments, and relate these accomplishments to past performance or industry norms. Be sure to mention obstacles overcome, innovations or discoveries made, and outcomes:

The national sales team at iolo technologies, LLC (www.iolo.com) is responsible
for all retail and channel sales efforts of this 13-year-old, privately-held
performance optimization software company with more than 38 million users and
presence in 18,000 stores. This includes driving revenue, growth and maintaining
partner relations.

This team of three award-winning professionals has achieved the following successes:
1) Increased market share: Maintained iolo’s market share in the system utility
category in the US at 85% and in Canada at 98%, having previously increased it
from 66% and 75%, respectively, as measured by NPD. This dramatic market share
increase was achieved by maintaining relations with retailers and tag-teaming
with distributors, and skillful efforts at driving revenue and growth through
creative and innovative promotional retail campaigns, positive net bookings,
extensive ROI analysis, and detailed quarterly business reviews.
2) Increased revenue: In addition to growing overall market share of the PC
performance software category, the team also achieved some of the highest sales
growth percentages in history, including six years of record growth with
Buy.com, iolo’s #1 internet reseller, with 187% growth in units sales and 179%
revenue growth in 2010 alone. Record profitability was achieved with Staples,
iolo’s #4 retail account, by reducing marketing expenses by 25%, and with Tiger
Direct, where unit sales increased by 55% and revenue increased by 88%.
3) New product launches: the team also successfully launched iolo’s newest
product System Mechanic PC TotalCare, which immediately showed impressive
sell-through numbers and became another key source of revenue. This included
chainwide launch at Office Depot, iolo’s #3 retail account, in August 2010 and
also on Buy.com.
4) Key account growth: With effective management, successful relationships and
innovative initiatives, the team consistently grew all key accounts.
Year-over-year unit sales in Wal-Mart, iolo’s largest retail account, grew by an
impressive 95% in Feb and 120% in March 2011, with revenue increases of 47% and
64%, respectively. Costco achieved impressive growth with 438% units sales and
314% revenue growth in 2010, and PC Treasures showed 851% increase in units and
1295% increase in revenue.
5) Awards: Marina Totalca, national accounts manager, won two prestigious
accolades in the past year alone: Employee of the Year award in Stevie Awards
for Women 2010 and National Accounts Manager of the Year in Stevie Awards for
Sales 2011. Katharine Coble, director of channel sales, was recognized as
finalist for Sales Director of the Year in Stevie Awards for Sales 2011 and
Employee of the Year in Stevie Awards for Women 2011, testament to the team’s
excellent management, professionalism and top-notch client service.
6) Environmental work: Throughout the phenomenal sales growth, the team remains
focused on actively advocating environmentally responsible campaigns. They
supported Clean Out Your PC Day, an important ‘green’ holiday, with articles and
promotions with Buy.com, Office Depot, Office Max, and Tiger Direct. Software
donations to nonprofit materials reuse organizations complimented retail sales
and increased awareness of iolo’s products.

Despite challenging retail environment, iolo's sales team is planning even more
impressive growth in 2012.
