Taleeb Noormohamed has transformed the way we do business development at HomeAway. As the first true Business Development leader at HomeAway, he has created and established new lines of business, new partnerships and relationships, and set these up for sustained growth over the long term. He has developed HomeAway’s internal guiding principles for partnerships globally, and has mentored and guided our business development team across all continents.

His impact on our business since July 2013 has been significant.

He led the creation of our Luxury Rentals business from his original idea into a multi million - dollar line of business leading all aspects of the business’ creation – from product to sales to strategy. As a new business within the company, this venture had to be built and launched without new resources, using only existing team members and development cycles. Despite these obstacles, Taleeb led and managed an outstanding team effort to launch what is now the world’s largest online market place for Luxury Vacation Rentals.

He negotiated the first ever agreement for the onward distribution of 'by owner and professionally managed properties' in the history of the Vacation Rental industry, establishing a powerful partnership with Expedia, enabling travelers on Expedia to book vacation rental properties as they would hotels. Here, he managed a complex relationship, and continues to be the critical relationship owner on HomeAway’s behalf with Expedia, including negotiating the ongoing growth of the relationship to include additional global markets. This relationship has led to the distribution of hundreds of thousands of properties to Expedia, creating unprecedented exposure for these homes and apartments, and for the entire vacation rental industry.

He established HomeAway’s partnership with and subsequent acquisition of Glad To Have You, a mobile traveler management app – which has transformed how the HomeAway and the vacation rental industry manage and delight travelers renting vacation homes. He then put together groundbreaking deals with Uber and Instacart to provide on- demand services to HomeAway through the newly acquired app, creating a powerful in stay experience previously never available to guests of vacation rentals. These relationships mark the first integrations for both Instacart and Uber in the vacation rental space.

He has established HomeAway’s partnership with and subsequent investment in GoGoBot, enabling owners to create powerful guides and local content for travelers visiting every corner of HomeAway’s world. This partnership is a powerful enabler for content creation and development, and will, over the coming years be the cornerstone for how local content is created and distributed in the vacation rental space.

He has also negotiated a large number of unique partnerships with partners that have added remarkable value for HomeAway’s owners, property managers, and travelers alike.

Taleeb has also led by example, by including various teams at HomeAway in the business development process, ensuring that there is buy in, accountability, and ownership across the organization – resulting in outstanding successes for HomeAway and our partners.

It is our hope that Taleeb be honoured with a Stevie award as the Business Development Executive of the Year.
