ACHIEVEMENTS
Boeing's Commercial Airlines sales team had a record setting year for orders
under the WW VPs of sales, Marlin Dailey and Ray Conner.
Boeing has now set a record for 777 orders in a single year with 192 to date.
That surpasses the previous record of 154 set in 2005.
The company also announced two record-setting deals with Emirates and Lion Air
and others, during and after the Dubai Airshow:
• Emirates Airline ordered 50 777-300ERs, with options for 20 more. The order,
with a value of $18 billion, makes this the single largest commercial airplane
order in Boeing's history by dollar value.
• Oman Air ordered six 787-8s.
• Qatar Airways ordered two 777 Freighters.
• Lion Air committed to buy 201 737 MAXs and 29 Next Generation 737-900ERs. The
agreement also includes purchase rights for an additional 150 airplanes.
• Aviation Capital Group (ACG) committed to buy 35 737 MAX airplanes and
finalized a firm order for 20 Next-Generation 737-800s.
• Singapore Airlines finalized order for eight 777-300ERs.
• Unidentified customer ordered eight 777s.
Demand for Boeing's airplanes is also fueling and sustaining American jobs.
Since the start of this year, Boeing has added more than 11,000 jobs in its
commercial airplanes division.
In December 2011, Southwest Airlines ordered 150 737 Max airplanes, a
fuel-efficient version of Boeing's 737, and 58 additional 737-700s and
737-800s., Boeing’s largest deal in history valued at $19 billion.
MOVING FORWARD
Boeing forecasts that North American airlines will buy $760 billion worth of new
aircraft - mainly fuel-efficient, single-aisle jets - over the next 20 years,

Boeing forecasts a $4 trillion market for new aircraft over the next 20 years
with a significant increase in forecasted deliveries, that's according to the

Boeing said that 1,250 new airplanes would be delivered to Northeast Asian
carriers over the next 20 years, bringing in around $200 billion over that time

Boeing has raised its fleet forecast for India by 15%, estimating the country
will need 1,320 new passenger aircraft in the next 20 years. Flight

Single-aisles account for about 62% of current orders. By 2030, Boeing predicts
their share will rise to 70%, bringing in sales of 23,370 units valued at $1.95
