    As a key member of the Relationship Sales Channel, Phong has been instrumental in driving growth and securing strategic accounts by understanding customer demands and implementing proactive strategies.

    1. Thanh Hoa Province Direct Pickup & Delivery Project (September 2022 – July 2023)

    Phong played a crucial role in launching DHL’s direct Pickup and Delivery (PUD) service in Thanh Hoa, replacing a costly partner-dependent setup that added an extra transit day and fell short of DHL’s standards. Understanding the province’s industrial growth and strategic value, Phong conducted on-site assessments, identified key customers, and collaborated with Operations to design efficient and cost-effective routes. The result: a 32% revenue increase, reduced transit times, same-day shipment uplift, and improved customer satisfaction. This success set the stage for expanding direct service to southern Thanh Hoa and surrounding areas.

    2. Transforming a Key Garment Customer Relationship in Nam Dinh

    In July 2022, DHL held only 3% of a major garment company’s shipping volume, with competitors dominating 97%. Phong addressed challenges like early cutoff times (COT), high costs, and misaligned processes by extending the COT, introducing a virtual depot for shipment consolidation, and revising procedures to empower the customer with self-managed customs declarations. He also negotiated competitive pricing, aligning with the client’s needs. His efforts drove an impressive FY22-FY23 revenue growth of 399% and a 499% increase in shipment volume, solidifying a vital partnership and showcasing his strategic and customer-centric approach.

    Mr. Nguyen Anh Phong joined DHL Express Vietnam in December 2021 as a Field Sales Executive in the Relationship Sales Channel during the challenging COVID-19 period. With prior experience in real estate, tourism, and vending equipment, he was tasked with managing a vast territory spanning western Hanoi and southern provinces like Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Ha Tinh, and Nghe An. Despite limited managerial support, unfamiliar customers, and restricted in-person interactions, Phong quickly adapted to the logistics industry after just two weeks of training.

    Early in his tenure, Phong handled a critical case for a key client in Ha Nam needing urgent approval for a 1,003 kg shipment during the holiday peak. Navigating DHL's pre-approval policy for shipments over 1,000 kg and operational challenges on Christmas, Phong coordinated seamlessly with the client and DHL’s operations team, resolving dimensional discrepancies and ensuring timely delivery.

    Managing clients across e-commerce, fashion, and technology, Phong’s adaptability, humility, and dedication have earned customer loyalty and bolstered DHL’s market presence, showcasing his exceptional problem-solving skills and commitment to excellence.

His outstanding performance with revenue growth of 18%, shipment growth of 31%, and excellent customer development is truly an inspired example for the whole team.
       
    • Superstar in Quarter 1/2023: With the impressive results well as top ranks in Shipments per Day and Revenue per Day, Phong was presented with the Superstar Awards in Quarter 1/2023.
