Technology is important in the fight against financial crime. Yet a competent, well-trained risk management staff is indispensable. Because even the best automated systems can be compromised if the staff using them are not adequately trained.

The Web Shield Online Academy is training designed by risk professionals for risk professionals. It allows students to learn in their own time, at their own pace, anywhere with an internet connection.

The content is both digital and modular, meaning clients can deliver training throughout the year, including when they hire new staff, part-time, temporary or contract workers, or when they need to repeat training. They can train a large, dispersed workforce more efficiently and cost-effectively than with classroom-based training, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic when many staff are working from home.

Clients can tailor the training to individual employees. This makes it relevant and easier for staff to absorb and implement in their day-to-day business practices. And easier to up-date and re-run when regulations or legislation are updated. Our modular delivery mechanism included short videos, as well as real-life case studies and quizzes to reinforce learnings.Successful students can obtain a personalized digital certificateif they pass the final course exam.

Finally, clients can track and record participation, comprehension and completion, as required for audit purposes.

Over the last six years, more than 600 risk professionals have graduated from the Web Shield Academy. The Online Academy is an addition to the popular, in-person courses.
