    Total 195 words used.

Luming Yang is an outstanding product strategist whose rich experience spans the investment industry, banks, private equity, and tech companies.

Luming, despite her young age, is also a former venture capitalist, and led the research of autonomous vehicle company, EHang Holdings (NASDAQ: EH) and contributed to major investment decision making on EH’s $42M series B+ financing.

Luming Yang has made significant contributions to MarketWise (Nasdaq: MKTW), the endeavor I’m most familiar with. Luming served as the lead strategist and writer for their best-selling China equity newsletter. She built their go-to-market strategy to successfully establish MarketWise's product in the Chinese market. By delivering insights to Chinese investors, Luming played a cornerstone role in helping MarketWise establish and grow a successful business that catered to the specific needs of its target audience.

Luming's reputation and influence are not confined to the walls of any company. She is well-respected in the industry and has been invited as a guest speaker to dozens of events and webinars held by some of China’s largest internet platform and tech companies, including Baidu (Google of China), Toutiao (subsidiary of TikTok’s parent company ByteDance), 36Kr (NASDAQ:KRKR), Sina and, and Futu (NASDAQ: FUTU).

  4. Outline the nominee's achievements since July 1 2021 that you wish to bring to the judges' attention (up to 250 words):

    Total 249 words used.

Luming Yang is master of not one, but three disciplines. She’s a star product strategist whose project is delivering $8 million to an American company, as well as an analyst – and a financial media celebrity who’s been interviewed by the largest TV stations and media networks in China (CCTV, Phoenix, CGTN), and whose articles and videos have been viewed by millions of households in China, and across the 50 million Chinese diaspora worldwide.

She was chosen to be the vanguard analyst and “face” of the brand for a publicly traded American company’s multi-million-dollar expansion into China, and both wrote and was lead strategist for MarketWise (Nasdaq: MKTW) China’s best-selling equity newsletter.

She designed and localized the flagship product for Stansberry China (MarketWise’s subsidiary), Under her leadership, that flagship product contributed to over 60% of the subsidiary’s revenue since July 1, 2021.

Luming is a born leader and was excellent at keeping a team of 10 people on track with her managerial aptitude. Her insights guided the company's entry into the Chinese market. Her ability to navigate complex international business landscapes was instrumental in this endeavor. Her leadership and management capabilities were evident in tasks like optimizing distribution channels, organizing brand-building events, and developing customer retention strategies.

Luming also led their business development efforts, as well as brokered partnerships with media and information platform companies in China, such as Tencent, Sina, WallStreetCN, and Tiger Brokers, which brought in millions of potential customers and lowered customer acquisition cost by 50%.

  6. Explain why the achievements you have highlighted are unique or significant. If possible compare the achievements to the performance of other players in your industry and/or to the nominee's past performance (up to 250 words):

    Total 237 words used.

I built and ran the research department at The Motley Fool (as their DIrector of Research & Analysis, as well as Lead Advisor), one of the first online investment platforms.

In this capacity, in my 12 years there I’d estimate I trained 40-50 analysts, so I believe I have a solid basis for comparison when I evaluate Luming.

First, I’ll note that Luming's recognition by the United Nations for her work with other key female STEM industry players to encourage female involvement in the STEM industry, and her participation as a speaker at the International Day of the Girl 2022 event are remarkable.

Luming blends communication ability with technical “chops” – and is just 26.

She became the media star of Stansberry China (others did media, but Luming did far more), and successfully brought the paid investment newsletter model to China, setting an example for US financial media companies who want to try to expand to Asian countries.

Luming’s content was most frequently recommended by editors across China’s top finance platforms. She received 1,000,000+ views per article and video about trending stocks like Tesla, Nio, and GameStop across top platforms in China including Tencent, Sina, and Toutiao, bringing in more than 200,000 potential customers, and in total more than $6 million long term customer value.

She negotiated 3 co-branded deals on the behalf of Stansberry China, and brought in 60% of the company’s revenue.
