The benefits of winning a Stevie will also be significant. Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners can expect to receive a tremendous amount of publicity.

Q: Who can be nominated?

Q: Who can submit entries for consideration?
A: Any person, group, or company can submit entries.

Q: Does a company have to be publicly held to be able to submit entries?
A: No, any organization or individual can submit entries.

Q: When is the entry deadline?
A: There is an early-bird deadline of June 27 - entry fees are discounted. The entry deadline is July 26, but late entries will be accepted through August 23 with payment of a $55/entry late fee.

Q: Are there entry fees?
A: Yes. Entry fees are summarized in this PDF document. There are no entry fees for quite a few categories, including Female Employee of the Year, Startup of the Year, and categories for women and organizations in the government and non-profit sectors, however.

Q: Where can I see examples of entries that other companies have submitted?
A: Most of the 2022 Gold Stevie-winning entries have been published and are accessible on the listing of Stevie winners.

Q: Are entry forms kept confidential?
A: Yes. The organizers ensure that only authorized judges and Stevie Awards staff may review entries, and that information about nominees is not released to anyone else without prior approval. Gold Stevie Award-winning entries will be published, but winners will first be given the opportunity to redact any confidential or other non-public information from winning entries before publication.

Q. Why are the submission requirements for most categories so loosely defined?
A. The submission requirements are loosely defined in recognition that every organization is unique in its culture, its achievements, and in how and why it seeks recognition. The submission requirements are structured so that each organization or individual may determine and cite its or her own accomplishments in its own way. More strictly defined requirements would narrow the focus of the awards, which the organizers did not want to do.

Q: You say that entrants will only compete against other organizations of their size, in their industry? How does that work?
A: When you submit your entries to the Stevie Awards for Women in Business, you must specify your organization's industry and size (by number of employees) as part of the entry process.
When Stevie Awards staff determine Stevie Award placements, based on judges' final scores, they have the option to break up Finalists in a category into multiple categories, based on industry and/or organization size.

Q: Who are the judges?
A: We expect that more than 150 professionals around the world will participate in the judging process in 2023.  See the 2022 judges here.

Q: How can I apply to become a judge?
A: To complete the application to participate in the judging process, click here. If your application is accepted you will be able to participate at your convenience online.

Q: Will there be an awards ceremony?
A: Yes.   Finalists will be announced and notified in late September, and an awards dinner and ceremony will be held on Friday, November 10 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.

Q: How many winners will there be?
A: The number of Stevie winners will be determined by the number and quality of entries submitted. All entries that receive an average score of 7.50/10 or higher in the judging will automatically become Finalists. All Finalists will ultimately be Gold, Silver or Bronze Stevie Award winners.

Q: Will winners be able to purchase duplicate awards?
A: Yes. Gold Stevie winners will be able to purchase duplicate trophies and/or Stevie Winner certificates and plaques in the Stevie Awards Store. Silver and Bronze winners will receive Silver and Bronze medals, and will be able to purchase Silver and Bronze Stevie trophies, Stevie Winner certificates and plaques.
