Susan Getgood is Vice President of Strategy, Planning & Client Services at SHE Media (formerly SheKnows Media). In this role, she leads the strategic sales planning, client services, and branded content teams, and is responsible for product strategy, profitability management, and performance evaluation across all direct-sold business – media, branded content, influencer marketing, events, social and ecommerce. She is also Executive Producer of SHE Media virtual events, including the award-winning BlogHer Inclusive Future series and Collective Intel, a monthly thought leadership series launched in summer 2022.

Prior to re-joining SHE Media in January 2019, where she had served in a variety of senior marketing roles until August 2017, she was an independent consultant helping organizations integrate digital advertising, social media, and community-centered marketing into their business strategies. Clients included UNC Medicine, Silicon Valley Comic Con, Mommy Poppins Media, StartUp Connection, and SheKnows Media. Susan originally joined SheKnows following its acquisition of BlogHer in 2014, and served in senior Integrated Marketing and Influencer Marketing roles at both organizations. Prior to joining BlogHer in 2010, she was an independent consultant helping organizations integrate social media into their marketing strategies to meet their customers online, build their brands, and drive revenue. Clients included HP, Kaplan University, Kraft, Goodwill Industries, and CamelBak, as well as PR agencies, start-ups, and small businesses nationwide.

Susan has also held a variety of corporate marketing and management roles including Senior Vice President of Marketing at Internet software company SurfControl, General Manager of Cyber Patrol, and Director of Corporate Communications at The Learning Company. She is the author of Professional Blogging For Dummies (Wiley, 2010) and the blog Marketing Roadmaps (getgood.com/roadmaps). She speaks regularly at social media and digital marketing conferences and is a co-founder of ethics initiative Blog With Integrity. In that capacity, she appeared on the Today Show in April 2010 to talk about respect and responsibility in the blogosphere.
