1. Describe for the judges the activities and accomplishments of the nominated executive during the eligibility period (up to 500 words):

When you are in the business of providing sales, sales management, and
customer service training to Fortune 1000 companies, it is imperative that the
members of your own sales team are the epitome of a successful sales
professional. Debbie Antonelli is the individual at Richardson responsible for
ensuring that the Richardson sales team meets and exceeds the expectations of
peers and clients by meeting revenue goals and delivering top quality service.

Debbie Antonelli’s commitment to Richardson’s success has been shown through
her achievements and dedication to Richardson’s salesforce operations over the
past 10 years. In 1998, Debbie joined Richardson as a Regional Vice President
for the Southeastern United States and was responsible for providing sales and
service to a portfolio of accounts including FedEx (globally), US Airways
(globally), DIRECTV (Latin America), SunTrust Bank, Bank of America, GlaxoSmithKline,
DuPont Pharmaceuticals Company, Nortel Networks, and Tech Data Corporation.
In 2002, Debbie was promoted to National Account Manager and then to Senior
Vice President, Global Sales in 2004. Debbie works closely with companies to
assist them in identifying and addressing critical sales development needs to help
their people compete more successfully. In addition to managing and coaching
the Richardson sales team, Debbie is responsible for business development and
for managing domestic and global client relationships. During her tenure as Senior
Vice President, Global Sales, Debbie has increased revenue at Richardson by
over 40% - and 2005 marked the first time that Richardson exceeded revenue
goals during a 12 month period. In addition, Debbie expanded her salesforce by
35% and implemented a new on-boarding campaign and training program to build
the new sales team members’ product knowledge and selling competencies.

Debbie is an outstanding manager who is readily accessible to her team. In
addition to a weekly group telecoaching session, Debbie consistently holds
intensive one-on-one coaching sessions with individual members of the sales team
to ensure that her team is properly equipped with the skills needed to succeed.
Debbie will regularly accompany members of the Richardson sales team on client
calls to assist and add her expertise and knowledge on Richardson’s products and
services. Debbie frequently delivers presentations on Richardson’s products and
services, including past Training Director’s Forum, and Elliott Masie’s Learning
200x shows. Debbie is passionate about her work and makes her successes look
easy.

Debbie’s dedication and appreciation to her sales team is shown through
incentives and rewards, and through annual sales team retreats, which also
provide the ideal opportunity to enhance internal team relationships and
collaborate sales team efforts. Debbie has been very successful in the business
world, typically dominated by men, and is proud to be one of the women on
Richardson’s Executive Team. Debbie is an active leader and mentor for women
in the sales training industry, holding an executive board position for the last 3
years with the Greater Atlanta Chapter of The American Society for Training and
Development (ASTD).

Debbie Antonelli is a Senior Vice President, Global Sales with Richardson. She
works closely with companies to assist them in identifying and addressing critical
sales development needs to help their people compete more successfully. Prior
to joining Richardson, Debbie was a senior sales and training consultant with an
international training firm specializing in the areas of employee selection and
performance improvement. She has also held a senior position at The University
of Florida’s College of Business Administration where she was responsible for
Executive Education programs. Debbie graduated cum laude from Ohio University
with a degree in marketing. She is working on the completion of a master of
management degree with a specialization in organizational behavior from Georgia
State University.
