As Chief Legal Officer & Head of Corporate Development, there are few (if any) business decisions made without Rothstein’s counsel, including Nexxen’s $239 million acquisition of Amobee in 2022. Aimed at enhancing our end-to-end offering, Rothstein oversaw virtually every aspect of this deal – helping to make Nexxen a stronger, more advantageous partner to our clients across the industry. Rothstein understood from the offset how and why this was a strategic move for Nexxen, and she executed it seamlessly, from negotiation to due diligence to closing (and everything in between) – integrating Amobee’s offering and employees into the wider organization with care.

When it comes to partnerships, Rothstein has accomplished a major win this year: Nexxen’s global partnership with VIDAA, an operating system (included in smart TVs like Hisense). This deal provides Nexxen with exclusive access to its automatic content recognition (ACR) data. The partnership allows our clients to tap into and reach audiences across more than 100 million smart TVs worldwide – no small feat. This is signifigant in that ACR data is very rarely available outside of walled garden platforms, and it’s a real coup for an independent platform on the open internet to have access to such data. Rothstein spotted this opportunity before other players in the industry, allowing Nexxen to be ahead of the game. She negotiated and brokered the deal (in conjunction with a number of other teams), improving Nexxen’s offerings for its clients and aligning us with another powerhouse brand in VIDAA.

  5. Briefly describe the nominated individual: history and past performance (up to 200 words):

    Total 185 words used.

Over the course of her career, Rothstein has successfully led and supported more than 100 M&A deals -- ranging from $10 million to $5 billion – and advised on a wide array of issues for both public and private company boards and executive teams. Now, at Nexxen – an organization largely built through mergers and acquisitions -- Rothstein’s fingerprints can be found on just about everything our company has accomplished, particularly this past year. She has been leading industry-shifting deals, negotiating M&A terms and keeping our company on course.

Most notably in 2022, Rothstein led Nexxen’s $239 million acquisition of Amobee, one of the largest deals our industry saw last year. The acquisition expanded our customer base, tech capabilities and total addressable market (at a time when all eyes are on the convergence of streaming and linear), and it wouldn’t have been possible without Rothstein’s acumen and guidance.

Additionally, Rothstein has played a major role in developing and negotiating partnerships this year that will continue to make Nexxen the strongest possible partner to its clients, particularly from a sustainability, brand safety and consumer privacy perspective.
