Naomi Shah is the founder and CEO of Meet Cute, a modern entertainment company that produces and distributes original, scripted romantic comedies. In making over 500 feel-good stories, and working with a diverse community of over 1800 creators, Meet Cute expands on the traditional rom-com stories, enabling writers, actors, and directors to explore the genre through bold and unique lenses.
Before starting Meet Cute, Naomi was a member of the investment team at Union Square Ventures, a venture capital firm in New York, where she spent most of her time on early-stage companies in the wellbeing space with a particular focus on media and entertainment. Prior to that, she worked at Goldman Sachs and studied Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Human Biology at Stanford University.

In less than three years after starting her company, Meet Cute has produced over 500 cinematic audio shows bringing on talent such as Amy Sedaris, Charithra Chandran, Noah Galvin, Minnie Mills, Arden Cho, Owen Thiele, Ellie Goulding, and Julianne Hough. Under her leadership, Meet Cute is rebuilding the rom-com genre to fit the social and cultural moment of today, and bringing in characters and settings that are more inclusive. Meet Cute works with a large network of writers, producers, sound designers, and voice actors, and over half of their creative network is female and/or non-binary.

Many communities have been underrepresented and underserved in movies and television, and Meet Cute is working to make sure Black, Latinx, Native American, Asian, LGBTQIA+ as well as geographic and socioeconomically diverse stories are given the platform they deserve. Shah has started this company to showcase the diverse starpower representing the new generation of storytellers.
