  2. Briefly describe the nominated organization: history and past performance (up to 200 words):

    The Coca-Cola Company’s products are sold in more than 200 countries. It aims to refresh the world and make a difference. With bottling partners, it provides over 700.000 jobs, economic opportunities to local communities around the world, and promotes Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Coca-Cola implements unique programs in each region to support women economically while strengthening local communities. The Company with the 5by20 strategy supports the strengthening of women's economic and social presence globally. It has contributed to the social and economic lives of more than 6 million women in 100 countries with business skills training, mentoring networks, and financial services.

    With this perspective, My Sister, initiated by Coca-Cola Türkiye, in 2015 to empower women by supporting women in accessing equal opportunities to build/grow businesses, reached more than 450.000 women who are all literate and between the ages of 15–55, aligning with the global strategy. My Sister aims to provide women with knowledge & skills needed to enhance their socioeconomic standing, and actively participate in economic development. 

  3. Outline the organization's achievements since the beginning of last year that you wish to bring to the judges' attention (up to 250 words):

    Since 2015;

    • My Sister invests in all literate women between the ages 15-55 in 81 cities, more than 450.000 women.
    • As a result of the "Social Return on Investment" research, it has been measured that every 1TRY investment made in the initiative has a social return of 2.80TRY.
    • 100.000 women who want to become entrepreneurs, who are entrepreneurs and members of agricultural cooperatives, have access to face-to-face, inspirational meet-ups, online training.
    • 1.510 hours of classroom training, 92 hours of mobile training on study trucks were provided.
    • 477 women received education and 101 women received 4.040.000TRY grant in total through Grant Program.
    • 3.591 middle&high school teachers, 359.100 students were reached in collaboration with Teacher Academy Foundation.
    • With the Ministry of Agriculture, training and sales support were provided to 1.000 women from the 72 Women's Cooperatives to strengthen the skills of women in the agriculture sector.
    • With the Ministry of Commerce, training and capacity-building support were provided to 100 women's cooperatives affiliated with the ministry.

    Starting in 2023;

    • “Scholarship” was provided 300 young women affected by the earthquake with educational scholarships via Turkish Education Fund(TEV).
    • “Unlock the Future” involves several programs such as “We Get Stronger Together” inspirational webinar, Personality Resilience Inventory test. So far, the number of mentees has reached 286, mentors 272.
    • “All Stars” will contribute to 20 women in sports, art, social good programs by providing them with financial assistance and creating role models for other women through their achievements.

    The Project contributes to 7 out of 17 Sustainable Development Goals;

    • By supporting 1st goal, “No Poverty” to ensure access to basic services through grants and scholarships,
    • By supporting the 4th goal “Quality Education” to increase the awareness and knowledge level of the women participating in the program,
    • By supporting the 5th goal “Gender Equality” to ensure gender equality and empowering all women and girls,
    • By supporting the 8th goal “Decent Work and Economic Growth” by reducing the number of young people who do not get an education,
    • By supporting the 10th goal “Reduced Inequalities” to contribute to the empowerment of everyone, regardless of status with scholarships given to students,
    • By supporting the 12th goal “Responsible Consumption and Production” by providing training on topics such as Zero Waste, Food Safety and Logistics,
    • By supporting the 17th goal “Partnerships for the Goals” to contribute to multi-stakeholder cooperation in all practices and activities carried out within the scope of the program.

    Current research on women's labor force and education participation in Türkiye clearly shows the barriers needed to be overcome. According to national data by Turkish Statistical Institute(2022), the employment rate for men in Türkiye is 65.3%, it is 30.4% for women. From a global perspective, according to The WEF Global Gender Inequality 2023, Türkiye fell to 129th place out of 146 countries. My Sister contributes to women by creating social&economic benefits where there is a need in current structure of the country.

    In order to measure the social impact of all activities carried out in the My Sister, social return of each investment is measured with "Social Return on Investment" calculation. It has been calculated that every 1TRY in 2022 has a social return of 2.80TRY. SROI ratio is calculated by comparing the costs and benefits of investment. This high rate results from the initiative activities is an important result in making comparisons between different programs, monitoring the progress, improvement areas of program, and evaluating sustainability. My sister will develop itself in 2023 with three pillars to reach 50.000 young women which are “Scholarship Program" was provided for 300 women affected by the earthquake with educational scholarships via TEV; “Unlock the Future” involves several programs such as 'We Get Stronger Together' inspirational webinar, Personality Resilience Inventory test; “All Stars” which will contribute to 20 women in sports, art, social good programs by providing with financial assistance and creating role models for other women through their achievements.
