ESG4PR (see Attachment Slide 2) is an innovative, world-first digital tool empowering smaller companies, including other PR agencies, to benchmark their communications performance across environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG).
This tool meets a critical need for SMEs of today; allowing companies to measure communications effectiveness internally and externally, in areas like staff diversity and inclusion achievements, sustainability efforts and volunteering.
Features and functions:
ESG4PR provides an objective measurement of performance in key ESG areas and displays how well, for example, Company A is doing in ESG communication compared to Company B. It provides benchmarks for stakeholders and demonstrates how effective communication matters as much as the activities themselves.
- Score-based metrics: Under each ESG category, quantitative scoring can be customised based on the company's activities; for example, carbon offsets, diversity in hiring and leadership, and waste reduction. Users receive a score out of 20 for each category (see Attachment Slide 2), enabling them to identify progress as well as areas of strength and improvement.
- YoY measurement: ESG4PR allows companies to compare annual performance between teams and communicate results with external stakeholders like regulators and investors.
- Simplicity and accessibility: ESG4PR is designed to be user-friendly for both medium-sized agencies and lean in-house teams. Businesses can integrate ESG reporting into their operations without requiring extensive training or additional personnel.
- Privacy and Licensing: Clients can white-label the software (licensing fees start at AU$5000/annum), ensuring absolute data privacy.
- Customisation: The tool is adaptable to various organisational needs; e.g. if a company operates with a remote team or has an executive team that travels frequently.
Benefits:
This tool innovatively solves a universal problem relevant across most industries. Boards and leaders are acutely aware that these are areas in which they need to better communicate their ‘wins’, but don’t know how to start to measure their success or assess progress against their competitors.
This online tool helps smaller businesses stay ahead in PR reputation management, identify areas where they’re behind and fix them before this escalates. This knowledge has had transformational results for our clients and the broader world.
- Reference any attachments of supporting materials throughout this nomination and how they provide evidence of the claims you have made in this nomination (up to 250 words):

- Attachment Slide 2: Rating how well businesses communicate their ESG journey to stakeholders is the focus of this white-label, cloud-based digital tool. It is about making their communications matter alongside the three Ps of people, the planet, and profit. No greenwashing allowed!
- This tool is a simple score-based metric designed to be accessible for small to medium-sized businesses, PR agencies and in-house communications teams to assess how effectively their communications activities are in clear, cut-through, and meaningful articulation of your ESG actions. We want to help them demonstrate their year-on-year (and ever-evolving) ESG targets and standards to key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Users receive a score out of 20 for each category (Environmental, Social, Governance), enabling them to identify progress, as well as areas of strength and possible improvement.
