Nomination Category: Individual Categories
Nomination Sub Category: Best Entrepreneur in EMEA

Nomination Title: Bernice Maria Paolozzi, Independent Global Business Developer

  • Describe for the judges the activities and accomplishments of the nominated entrepreneur
during the eligibility period (up to 500 words):

Bernice Maria Paolozzi is an independent entrepreneur, developing global
business with a focus on the value of an ethics based approach in dealing with
today’s challenges in the global market. She has a unique talent for clearly
identifying the strategic solutions to many developmental problems individual
    enterprises often fail to recognize.

She has developed the theory of putting a conscience into commerce through fast
effective and efficient tools and techniques such as the proprietary Connect 4A ©
    Formula.

Bernice created the Connect 4A © model of global corporate and social enterprise
for successful value based sustainable growth.
Awareness – raise awareness with the consumer and general public
Availability – through social enterprise communities
Accessibility – engage the corporate community
Activity – Involve media community to start the wheel spinning into action to
connect all members of the social commerce community.
For the Connect 4A Formula to be successful, whole mind thinking must be
employed. If one of the 4 is left out, then there is no balance, reflecting all
life science – connected. It is the foundation to spiral upwards to breakthrough
rather than spiraling down to breakdown.

Bernice represents her home country of Ireland in a lot of her achievements, acting
on her entrepreneurial spirit rather than waiting for the slower governmental
machine to take notice of required action.

    Empowering Youth
She ensured the voice of Ireland’s youth was represented and heard at the World
Youth Conference in 2003 in Morocco and 2005 in Edinburgh
(www.scotland2005.org) when the officials were not even aware of this major event
at which youth from over 100 countries gathered to write their proposal to achieve
the Millennium Development Goals 2012, presented to the UN.

    International Peace Garden
Ms. Paolozzi was responsible for securing the International Peace Garden for
Ireland in 20005/2006 (www.ipgf.org). The International Peace Gardens offer a
lasting link for participating countries to open doors for trade, commerce and
cultural exchange. Bernice initiated the involvement of youth in the planting of
the gardens in recognition of Young peoples’ enthusiasm and vibrancy to break down
barriers and encourage tolerance and hope for our future.

    Ireland India Trade Development
Bernice has further developed Cultural exchange to Ireland India Enterprise. As the
sole Irish representative at the Europe India Chamber of Commerce Leadership in
Business Symposium on Corporate Culture & Spirituality in November 2006
(www.ccs2006.org), she initiated the Ireland India Trade & Tourism Forum
(www.open-door.eu) to get trade flowing between two countries who despite their
enormous physical difference have remarkable similarities in terms of culture,
stamina and independent entrepreneurial spirit. From this ground breaking Forum,
over 40 multimillion-Euro enterprises came together from both India and Ireland, to
develop trade relations and do business together. Discussions and Negotiations
continue as deals emerge between the countries. Most significant to date a
€7million deal between a shipping company and Irish sea logistic provider.
The success of the entrepreneurial drive continues with the establishment of the
Ireland India National Enterprise Forum. A hub for both Irish and Indian
entrepreneurs to develop links and trade relations. Bernice is making it her
business to ensure that Ireland plays a leading role in building and sustaining
these partnerships to harmonise trade and investment based on ethics.
