Dr Nishtha Sareen is the Medical Director of Women’s Cardiovascular Services(CV) for the Ascension Michigan Market, she is also the Chair of Women's Heart Council for American College of Cardiology Michigan Chapter. Ascension Michigan has 15 hospitals with 7 hospitals as cardiovascular centers of excellence. Dr Sareen constructed a first-ever women's clinic system on the concept “of the women, for the women and by us all". The achievement of 600% growth within 18 months and a widely applicable, functionally simple model, adds tremendous potential for even more widespread application.
After assuming her role, within 18 months, she has opened 4 women’s heart clinics, put on two state of the art symposiums dedicated to women's heart care; specific focus on under-served women. She launched "BIA she is the force" the first book of its kind dedicated to empowerment of women health. Detroit Crain’s business magazine recognized Dr Sareen’s talents in the 40 under 40 most successful women and Detroit business recognized her passion among 30 leaders in the state of MI. She was awarded the “Women Who Lead”by WJR radio and the Coeur d’OR (Heart of Gold) award from Ascension Providence hospital for contributions to the community and teaching future generations.

Master’s in Public Health (MPH) graduate from University of Nevada and Health Care Economics from Harvard University. There is so much more to do and for this reason she deserves a platform to continue this journey. Homogenous, widely applicable, quality, affordable, dedicated heart care to combat the number 1 killer for women in the US should be a necessity for our under-served female population, not a luxury; and with Dr Sareen’s Women Heart Program we are one step closer, at this time in Michigan, and soon globally.
