Nomination Title: Jeanette Sanchez, Chief Information Officer

Describe for the judges the activities and accomplishments of the nominated executive since the beginning of July last year (up to 525 words):

Jeanette serves as a valued and trusted business partner across AMN, providing innovative technology leadership to AMN team members, clients and healthcare professionals. She has advanced business capabilities to accelerate AMNs growth strategy and deliver a compelling, modern workplace that drives team member engagement and productivity. Her efforts bolster AMN’s company-wide mission to raise the bar for healthcare by providing its clients high-quality staffing and comprehensive workforce solutions as the industry moves toward value-based patient care.

Creating a best-in-class experience for clients and healthcare professionals through service excellence and digital self-service capabilities is core to AMN’s strategy.

Jeanette is currently leading the Destinations Program, a multi-year business and technology transformation initiative which will significantly improve AMNs ability to source, recruit and place healthcare professionals. Destinations will deliver business process and technology improvements that fuel future growth and efficiencies; provide increased collaboration and drive coordination across all business functions. The end result is increased speed to placement by providing assignment-ready professionals through real time responsiveness and digital self-service, “anytime anywhere” functionality. AMN clients will benefit from SLA-based performance metrics, workforce intelligence and transactional efficiency to improve their business performance and bottom-line improvement initiatives.

As a forward-looking technologist, Jeanette and her team have designed AMN’s Sales, Recruiting and Back Office technologies that combine cloud, on-premise and mobile solutions that will transition more than 10 lines of business from 7 ERPs and 10 ATS/CRM systems to single ERP (PeopleSoft 9.2) and Sales/Recruiting/Acct Management/Credentialing (Salesforce) solutions integrated via a robust Enterprise Service Bus (TIBCO). This platform will provide scalability, usability, security, reliability and portability to nimbly support AMN expanding Workforce Solutions and technology offerings.

With a focus on providing real-time value to clients and healthcare professionals, the AMN IT and Marketing teams implemented four integrated Candidate Web properties; an automated Marketing Campaign solution and a cloud-based, third-party candidate referral and payment solution. The team also consolidated four candidate-and client-facing call centers and streamlined call management applications for more efficient, transparent operations.

Within her first year, Jeanette targeted AMN’s aging infrastructure and activated a plan that modernized, simplified and stabilized AMN infrastructure and operations. The infrastructure modernization initiative provided a new, redundant network and telephony infrastructure with associated data center consolidation, hardware, desktop and application refresh for more than 2000 employees across 40 corporate locations nationwide. Additionally, a BYOD program was established and improved IT service through the consolidation of multiple service desks and implementation of IT Service Management solution (ServiceNow). AMN has experienced organizational efficiencies and team member satisfaction by implementing and transitioning to a cloud-based business productivity suite for corporate collaboration (Office 365); document sharing and storage (Box); application access control (OneLogin); and e-mail archival (eVault). In addition, she spearheaded new Corporate Payroll (UltiPro); Travel & Expense Management (Concur); Employee Benefit Management (BUCK); Crisis Communication (MIR3); and Legal/Audit Collaboration (Accelus).

Jeanette recognizes these achievements would not be possible without an accomplished team of IT professionals, solid business partnerships and a decision-making platform to govern IT investments that ensures business value achievement. Her beliefs in servant leadership, high-performing engaged teams and community service is cornerstone to her character and her expertise as a business leader in global technology.
