Ms. Jung received the 2010 Clinton Global Citizen Award for the corporate sector, which recognizes visionary leadership in solving pressing global challenges. In 2010, she ranked #5 on Fortune magazine's "50 Most Powerful Women in Business" list, which she has been on since its inception, and ranked #2 on the Financial Times’ “Top Women in World Business” list for the second year in a row. Avon Products Inc was listed on Forbes Magazine’s Global 2000 list at 702nd. (2)

Award-winning actress and Avon Global Ambassador Reese Witherspoon joined Avon Chairman and CEO Andrea Jung to celebrate the company's 125th Anniversary year in Warsaw, Poland, on June 14 and Moscow, Russia, on June 16, on the ninth and tenth stops of the 16-city Avon Believe World Tour in 2011. Thousands of Avon Representatives joined to celebrate the company's heritage and belief in its mission to empower women. (3)

NEW YORK - September 15, 2011- Avon Products, Inc. today celebrates the 125th Anniversary of the founding of the company. Throughout this milestone year, Avon has held numerous events focusing on its rich heritage of empowering women to support themselves and their families. These include the Avon Believe World Tour, which visited 16 cities and touched 125,000 Representatives; concerts and special events; and anniversary celebrations for the company’s 42,000 Associates. In 2008, Ms. Jung was appointed Chair of the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations, (WFDSA). She became the first woman elected chair of the Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association in March 2001, a role she held until early 2005. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the General Electric Company and Apple and is a member of the New York Presbyterian Hospital Board of Trustees and the Catalyst Board of Directors. Ms. Jung was appointed CEO in 1999 and elected Chairman in 2001. She has been a member of the Board of Directors since January 1998. Prior, Ms. Jung was President and COO, with full P&L responsibility for Avon’s business units worldwide. From 1996 to 1998, she ascended to senior level positions within Avon’s product marketing group, where she oversaw research and development, market research, strategic planning, joint ventures and alliances. Ms. Jung joined the company in January 1994 as President, Product Marketing Group, Avon U.S. Before Avon, Ms. Jung was EVP at Neiman Marcus from 1991 to 1993, responsible for accessories, cosmetics and women’s, intimate and children’s apparel. Prior to that, she was SVP General Merchandising Manager, at I. Magnin from 1987 to 1991.
