SIXTH ANNUAL STEVIE® AWARDS FOR WOMEN IN BUSINESS LAUNCHES 2009 CALL FOR ENTRIES
Discounted Early-Bird Entry Deadline Is July 31, 2009; All Women Entrepreneurs, Executives and Employees Worldwide Are Eligible
Fairfax, VA – June 24, 2009 – The Stevie Awards for Women in Business today launched the Call for Entries for its sixth annual competition. Entry kits and complete details on the competition are available at www.stevieawards.com/women.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business features over 50 categories including Best Executive, Employer of the Year, and Mentor of the Year. New categories for 2009 include Best Executive from a Non-Profit or Government Organization and Employee of the Year, which recognizes non-executive female employees.
All women entrepreneurs, executives, and the companies they run, worldwide, are eligible to be nominated.
The discounted early-bird entry deadline is July 31 and the final deadline is August 31. Entrants save 25% by entering early. Winners of the sixth annual competition will be announced at a gala awards dinner in New York in November.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business is an international competition recognizing the accomplishments of outstanding women executives, business owners, and the companies they run. The awards are produced by the creators of the prestigious American Business Awards.
Winners of the 2008 Stevie Awards for Women included: Alcan Packaging, Inc. President Ilene Gordon (Best Executive), Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc. CEO Maxine Clark (Lifetime Achievement Award), New York Kids Club Founder Pamela Wolf (Mentor of the Year) and CEO Camp Bow Wow Heidi Flammang (Best Entrepreneur).
