    Steve York testimonial:

I was asked to share my thoughts about Tracy-Ann Palmer.

She is a once-in-a-life team leader! She has an infectious energy; and makes people better simply with her presence.

I don’t need to rattle off her resume. It’s impressive! She’s held Executive positions at some of the most admired tech companies. She’s an author and musician. She’s been incredibly successful at everything she touches.

What I’ve admired most about her is her servant heart. The life of an Executive is no easy task.  She mastered it, while giving so much to make those around her better. She’s a change agent, mentor, coach, and leader that has invested heavily in our community (MTL, MCWT and SIM Detroit). She was an early advocate and OG for bringing people together. To learn and to share. To teach and mentor.  We Build Character is has a long history of building leaders. This is her legacy, and she did this in her spare time.

I had the pleasure of hearing her speak at the Spring Michigan Technology Leaders Summit. Her topic was “Resilient Leadership”. Tracy-Ann shared the story of Arunima Sinha. I had chills and couldn’t move. Such an incredible storyteller.  One of the very best keynotes I have seen in long time.  I’ve shared the video of this keynote with many others.

I’m incredibly proud to call her a friend, mentor, and ally in making a difference.

    This is one of many.

  6. Explain why the achievements you have highlighted are unique or significant. If possible compare the achievements to the performance of other players in your industry (up to 250 words):

    Total 247 words used.

The one that stands out the most is the way Tracy-Ann accomplished these things.  She didn’t do it for the money, she didn’t do it for the fame or the, “wow you did that”, she did them for a single purpose; to help people.  Listen to her songs, read her book, what she does for the company she advises for and all the charity work she does.  It’s to empower and help people live the best life they can and get the most out of it.  Not for anything else other than to be successful at what they want and more importantly to be HAPPY.  She unofficially mentors 7-10 people and most of, but not all of them are women.  She schedules weekly calls, monthly check-ins and always reaches out and celebrates their wins more than she does when she does something amazing. Another thing is the diversity in all of the accomplishments.  She is a constant learner.  She had to learn what was involved in launching a single, releasing and writing a book and eBooks. She had to study and pass exams. One of the most important parts is that she accomplished some of this while working full time as a VP at a larger organization where she won numerous awards.  To do so, she woke up at 2:30-3 in the morning to accomplish all her goals.  She has dedicated her life to serving others and trying to make them the best version of themselves.
