SECOND ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS AWARDS ANNOUNCES BEST GLOBAL COMPANIES OF THE YEAR

To Honor World’s Best Businesses and Individuals at
New York Ceremony

New York, NY – April 27, 2005 – Companies and individuals from 21 countries, including first-time honorees Argentina, China, Croatia, France, Indonesia, Italy, Nigeria, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates, will be honored at the second annual International Business Awards, the world’s only international, all-encompassing business awards program, organizers announced today.

The boasts winning companies in 15 categories, including Star Syringe Ltd. of East Sussex, , which shares honors for Best Multinational Company with Dassault Systemes of . won in 11 categories, including ZENON Environmental of Oakville, Ontario for Best Overall Company.    Other multiple award winners include (3), (3), (2), and (2).

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned,” the awards will be presented at a gala dinner ceremony on Thursday, May 19 in the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers in New York City

The ceremonies will be videocast live, worldwide, by Speedera Networks, and will be broadcast on radio in the by the BusinessTalk Radio.  Tanya Beckett of the BBC will be the host.

76 International Stevie Award winners were announced in categories ranging from Best Multinational Company and Best New Product to Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program and Best Executive.   Other countries represented in the winners’ circle include , , the , , , , and the .

Members of the Stevie Awards’ Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs selected the winners during final judging April 11-22, which was preceded by two months of preliminary judging by business professionals worldwide.
