Date and Setting
Q: When and where will the 2019 IBAs take place?
A: The awards banquet will take place on Saturday, 19 October, at the Andaz Vienna am Belvedere Hotel, Arsenalstrasse 10, Vienna, Austria.  On Sunday, 20 October, there will be a breakfast presentation at the hotel, and three different Vienna tours from which to choose.

Q: Is there a discounted guest room block available at the Andaz Vienna am Belvedere Hotel?
A: Yes, a block of discounted rooms are available to IBA19 attendees.  Bookings may be made here.

Q: Are we required to stay at the Andaz Vienna am Belvedere Hotel if we come to Vienna for the event?
A: No, you are not required to stay at this hotel.

Costs to Attend, Deadlines and Benefits
Q: How much will it cost to attend the 2019 IBAs?
A: Here are the ticket prices and deadlines:

  • Through 26 September: U.S. $510 per ticket, or $5,000 for a table for 10
    After 26 September: U.S. $560 per ticket, or $5,550 for a table for 10
  • Sponsored Table for 10*: $7,600. Reservation deadline for a sponsored table is 27 September
  • 10 October is the deadline for first-time ticket orders.  First-time ticket orders placed after 10 October will be assessed a $500 rush fee in addition to the cost of your tickets.  If you ordered tickets already and wish to order additional tickets after 10 October, you will be charged only the cost of the additional tickets.
  • No refunds will be issued or cancellations accepted after 10 October

* Sponsored table includes 10 tickets, corporate branding of your table, corporate branding on stage, and a full-page ad in the awards banquet program (total distribution of 15,000+).

Q: How may we purchase tickets for the event?
A: Stevie Award winners may purchase tickets for the 19 October awards gala by first logging into their entry-submission account on the IBA website. If necessary we can place an offline ticket order for you - email us at help+winners@stevieawards.com about that.

Q: What will ticket purchasers receive?
A: Each ticket holder will be entitled to attend the pre-dinner reception, the dinner, and the awards presentations, plus the Sunday morning breakfast session and choice of Vienna tours.

Q: Can you help us to get a visa to travel to Austria to accept our awards?
A: We can send you a letter of invitation that should help you to get the visa(s) you need to travel to Vienna for the 19 October event. Send an email to katina@stevieawards.com with the names, job titles, and passport numbers of the people in your party who will need visas.

Who May Attend
Q: Who may attend the 2019 IBAs?
A: Any individual or organization may purchase tickets, but typically only Stevie Award winners and their guests attend.

Q: Will Stevie Award winners receive any complimentary tickets for the event?
A: No, all who wish to attend the event must purchase tickets.

Q: Are Stevie Award winners required to attend the event?
A: No, Stevie Award winners are not required to attend the 19 October awards gala in Vienna. Winners who cannot attend will be shipped their awards after the event.

Awards Banquet

17: 15 / 5:15 pm   Reception desk in Ballroom's pre-function area opens for ticket pickup

Sunday, 20 October

Linus Schnellin8:30 am Breakfast presentation. Enjoy breakfast at the Andaz Vienna am Belvedere Hotel while listening to a short presentation about trends in branding.

Your choice of three coach tours of Vienna. Complimentary but separate registration is required. 

Tour 1 - City Tour with Schonbrunn Palace (3 hours).  One tour group will leave the hotel at 10:00 am, two will leave at 11:00 am, and one will leave at 11:45 am.
Tour 2 - The Imperial Palace and its former inhabitants (3 hours, 2 of which are walking).  One tour group will leave the hotel at 9:30 am, and a second will leave at 10:00 am.
Tour 3 - Vienna and Mozart (3 hours, 2 of which are walking).  Two tour groups will both leave the hotel at 9:30 am.

19 October Awards Banquet
Q: What is the attire for the banquet?
A: The requested attire is formal. In the west that generally means black-tie. But please do wear whatever is considered formal attire in your culture.

Q: Are tickets required for the banquet?
A: Yes, all attendees must have purchased tickets for admittance.

Q: How will we receive our purchased tickets?
A: All tickets will be held for pickup from 17:15 / 5:15 pm the day of the event, from the ticketing desk in the hotel ballroom's pre-function area. Tickets will be held by organization name.

Awards to Be Presented

Q: Which awards will be presented in Vienna on 19 October?
A: All awards won by organizations in attendance - Grand and Gold Stevie Award trophies, Silver and Bronze Stevie medals, and People's Choice Stevie Awards for Favorite Companies - will be presented to them. In addition, any Silver and Bronze Stevie Award trophies ordered for presentation on stage will also be presented. See below for more information about this.

Q: Will Stevie winners who are not represented at the event be announced?
A: No. Because all winners will have been announced and published prior to the 19 October awards gala, only those winners in attendance will be recognized at the event.

How Awards Will Be Presented

Q: How many times will our organization be called to the stage on 19 October?
A: Each organization will be called to the stage once during the presentations to accept all of their awards.

Q: In what order will organizations be called to the stage?
A: Organizations will be called to the stage in the order in which they purchased tickets for the event.

Q: How will winners be called to the stage to accept their awards?
A: Each organization in attendance will be called to the stage by a short film we will produce about them.
   Watch last year's IBA awards presentation clips to see the type of film we will produce about your organization.

Q: What materials will the announcement film about our organization include?
A: On the ticket order form for the awards gala there is a place where you may upload to us your organization's logo and a few photographs or video clips we may use in your organization's film. We ask that at the very least you upload your high-resolution logo.
   If you do not have these media assets ready for upload when you purchase your tickets, you will be able to return to your ticket order later to upload them. The confirmation email you will receive after placing your order will contain a link to return to your order.
   After 10 October we cannot guarantee that media assets you upload to your ticket order will be used in the film we produce about your organization.
   Note that you will not be given the opportunity to review your organization's film before the event and you will have no editorial control whatsoever over it.

Q: Will films be produced about organizations that cannot attend the event?
A: No, we will produce films only about organizations represented at the event.

Q: Will our organization be able to use the film after the event?
A: Yes. After the awards gala we will publish the films on our YouTube channel and each organization that attended the gala will be given its film to publish and use however it likes.

Q: Who will present our awards to us on stage?
A: British actor and voiceover artist Simon Relph will present awards on stage to winners.

Q: Will we be able to make an acceptance speech after accepting our awards?
A: Yes. Each organization will have 20 seconds in which to make an acceptance speech.

Silver and Bronze Stevie Trophies

Q: How may Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners receive trophies on stage in addition to the medals they have won?
A: Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners have the option to purchase Silver and Bronze Stevie Award trophies in the Stevie Awards Store at http://stevieawards.myshopify.com. If you will travel to Vienna to receive your awards on 19 October, we will present your Silver and/or Bronze Stevie Award trophies to you on stage there if you order them by 13 September.
   You will received discounted shipping rates for any trophies ordered online by 13 September to be presented in Vienna. To receive discounted shipping, specify the shipping address for your order as

Q: May we order other items to be presented to us on stage in Vienna?
A: Only Stevie Award trophies - Gold, Silver, Bronze - may be ordered in the online store through 13 September to be presented on stage on Vienna. All other items in the store, such as wall plaques, certificates, and extra medals - may be ordered for delivery in Vienna, but they will be presented to you offstage, before the presentations begin.

Q: Will the awards presentations be broadcast?
A: Yes, the presentations will be broadcast live, worldwide, via Livestream. Read the details of the broadcast here.

Photography and Videography

Q: Will there be still photographers at the 19 October event?
A: We will have two still photographers at the event. They will take candid photos during the pre-dinner reception and dinner.  One photographer will photograph all on-stage awards presentations. The other photographer will work on the red carpet area all evening, photographing Stevie Award winners with their awards.

Q: If we are a Silver or Bronze Stevie winner, and we don't purchase a Silver or Bronze trophy for presentation on stage, will we have an opportunity the evening of 19 October to be photographed with a Silver or Bronze trophy?
A: Yes, this opportunity will be available to Silver and Bronze Stevie winners in the red carpet area.

Q: When and how will photographs of the event will be made available?
A: By Sunday evening, 20 October the photographs will be uploaded to the Stevie Awards' Flickr page. The photographs will be freely available and may be used however you'd like. When available you'll find a link to the photographs on this page.

Q: Will the awards presentations be videotaped?
A: We will have two videography units at the event. One videographer will record all on-stage awards presentations. The other videographer will work with an interviewer to interview all Stevie Award winners after they leave the stage.

Q: When and how will video clips of the event be made available?
A: The video clips of the on-stage awards presentations will be combined with the short films we produced about the winners represented at the 19 October event. These combined clips will then be published on the Stevie Awards' YouTube channel late the week of 21 October. When available you'll find a link to the clips on this page.

If You Cannot Attend

Q: What should we do if our organization cannot attend the 19 October awards gala?
A: If your organization cannot attend the event to accept your awards, please let us know that by emailing katina@stevieawards.com. In your email, please confirm the address to which your awards should be shipped.  Your awards will be shipped to you after the event.

Q: If our organization cannot attend the event to accept our awards, will there be a cost to receive our awards?
A: Yes. Per the terms and conditions of entry to the 2019 IBAs, which you agreed to abide by when you submitted entries, Stevie Award winners who are not represented at the 19 October awards banquet in Vienna to accept their award(s) will be assessed a shipping fee for their award(s).  Only sponsors and honorary nominees will not have to pay shipping fees.

Sponsorship and Advertising Opportunities

Q: What sponsorship opportunities are available for the awards gala?
A: Sponsored Tables (for 10 guests) are available for the awards banquet. Your Sponsored Table will include 10 tickets, corporate branding of your table, corporate branding on stage, and a full-page ad in the awards banquet program. The cost of a sponsored table is U.S. $7,600. The reservation deadline for a sponsored table is 27 September. You may reserve a sponsored table through your entry-submission account.

Q: What advertising opportunities are available for the awards gala?
A: There are opportunities to (a) distribute literature to awards gala attendees, and (b) advertise in the awards gala program book.
   26 September is the deadline to reserve one of five (5) spots to distribute literature about your organization to all 400+ attendees of the 19 October awards banquet. 
   26 September is also the deadline to place an ad in the program book for the banquet. The program will be distributed to all attendees of the 19 October awards banquet in Vienna, and to at least 15,000 more executives worldwide over the next year as a PDF download from the IBA web site. Advertising in the program is a great way to tell the world's business executives about your organization, and to congratulate your colleagues and employees for their honored work.
   Both opportunities may be reserved through this form.
