Sales contests aren’t new to the industry. But the way we run these workplace competitions to get sales reps engaged and connecting with their leads is evolving rapidly. Detroit-based LevelEleven’s flagship product is Compete, a 5 star-rated Salesforce app that gamifies the sales process by motivating salespeople to make more calls, book more meetings, and close more business.

Compete was developed at ePrize while LevelEleven CEO Bob Marsh was an executive there. In June of 2012, ePrize CEO Matt Wise and Marsh discussed spinning out the Compete product into it’s own company. LevelEleven became a spin off on October 30th 2012.

Compete is 100% native to Salesforce, allows clients to be 100% deployed in less than 20-minutes, and surrounds salespeople with leaderboards via web, email, social media, and their mobile device.

Compete is integrated with Salesforce Work.com and the new Chatter Profile. Now contest winners can earn badges and be awarded gift codes to Amazon.com.

Compete provides a step-by-step wizard to pinpoint the behaviors you want to motivate, and create high impact leader boards for salespeople.

In November 2013 Cirrus Insight integrated gamification From LevelEleven, delivering game-based motivation for sales reps via Gmail. "Cirrus Insight brings the power of Salesforce into Gmail," said Ryan Huff, CEO and co-founder of Cirrus Insight. "Now, by integrating our app with ‘Compete’, managers can more effectively create competitions around the most important customer interactions happening in the inbox.”

LevelEleven CTO, Kevin O’Hara was named one of the top 20 Salesforce.com developers and a Salesforce MVP.

The primary focus will remain on Salesforce but LevelEleven has plans to develop for third-party apps that integrate into Salesforce.com.

Provide a brief (up to 125 words) biography about the leader(s) of the team that developed this nominated product or service:

Founder and CEO, Bob Marsh, spent 12-years in sales and sales leadership roles at ePrize where he worked with the world’s top brands to help them motivate consumer behavior using contests, sweepstakes, and loyalty programs. Shortly after launching Salesforce.com for ePrize’s 100+ person sales team, Bob immediately saw an opportunity to take what he’d been doing for consumer marketers and injecting it inside of an enterprise to motivate salespeople.

A beta version was launched at Dreamforce 2011, with its first paying customer just two weeks later. Client traction continued, creating the realization that rather than being a side project, this product should be its own company. Bob then sought out Kevin O’Hara to join him as CTO to further build out the company.
