Since 2003, International Checkout has enabled US retailers, from the mom-and-
pops to the big-boxes, to sell to a global audience without risk or
difficulty. Today, thanks to its telesales team, International Checkout
enables more than 1000 U.S. retailers, including Jockey.com, bebe.com, and
DrMartens.com, to connect with their loyal customers in more than 220
countries. The company has created a whole new market segment for American
merchants at a time when the U.S. needs more exports – and new jobs - than
ever before.

Through its turnkey integrated solution, International Checkout enables US
retailers to access the quickly growing world market within a few short hours.
By shifting fraud liability, fulfillment, customs documentation, and customer
service to International Checkout, merchants eliminate all of the challenges
associated with conducting business internationally.

Having relied solely on word of mouth to grow the business since 2003, CEO and
President, Saskia Chiesa, decided to invest in a telesales team in order to
effectively expedite the company’s growth. In June of 2010, Chiesa assigned
Jackson Strobel, VP, Sales and Operations, the task of building that team from
scratch. Jackson hired 3 telesales associates and set the ambitious goal for
each assoicate to close 30 new US merchant accounts per quarter. Remarkably,
each associate has met or exceeded this goal since the team’s inception. By
doubling International Checkout’s merchant roster in just 18 months, growing
it from 450 US retailers to more than 1000, the telesales team landed the
company on the coveted Inc. 500 | 5000 list of fastest growing privately held
companies in America in 2010 and 2011.

Driving the telesales team’s success, Jackson motivates each individual to
reach their full potential through a series of activities and exercises. The
team meets weekly to discuss and problem solve current challenges, share
successful strategies, and explore new ways to promote the company and close
sales. Additionally, the team jointly reads and discusses books focusing on
sales, account management, and building long term relationships. Each team
member enjoys one on one time with Jackson as well, meeting once a month for
individual coaching, goal setting, and to benchmark success.

Over the past 18 months, International Checkout’s telesales team has
catapulted the company to an impressive list of achievements. The company
added a dozen new employees, increased revenues by more than 50%, and recently
added 5,000 sf to its Van Nuys location to accommodate the increased volume.

Jackson Strobel, Vice President, Sales and Operations, of International
Checkout, has over 10 years experience in Sales and Sales Management and 4
years experience in Operations Management. Jackson oversees all aspects of
Sales and Operations for International Checkout. Over the past two years
Jackson has developed an in-house sales team from the ground up and, as a
result of those efforts, International Checkout has increased its partner
membership by more than 400% since 2009. Jackson is currently developing and
implementing additional sales improvements which will continue to keep
International Checkout the industry leader in turn-key global ecommerce
solutions.
