4TH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS AWARDS ANNOUNCES
BEST GLOBAL COMPANIES OF THE YEAR

To Honor World’s Best Businesses and Individuals at
Munich Ceremony

Fairfax, VA – June 28, 2007 – Companies and individuals from 25 countries, including first-time winners Cyprus, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Syria, Trinidad & Tobago and Turkey, have been announced as Stevie® Award winners in the fourth annual International Business Awards, the world’s only international, all-encompassing business awards program.

Nicknamed the Stevie from the Greek word “crowned,” the awards will be presented at a gala dinner ceremony on Monday, September 10 at the Munich Marriott Hotel in Munich, Germany.  Premier sponsor of the event will be the German State of Bavaria.  This will mark the first time the IBA banquet will be held outside the U.S.A.  Tickets for the banquet are now on sale at www.stevieawards.com/iba

The United Kingdom boasts 15 International Stevie® Award winners, including BT Conferencing for Best Multinational Company in Europe and TeleCity Redbus for Best New Company. South Korean organizations won 13 Stevies.  Other multiple award winners include Canada (7), Germany (6), Australia (5), Italy (3), India (2), Indonesia (2), Spain (2), and Thailand (2).

Recipients of 98 International Stevie Award trophies were selected from more than 1,000 nominations received from companies and individuals in more than 30 countries.   Other countries with at least one International Stevie winner each include Belgium, China, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and the U.S.A.

Companies that won multiple Stevies are lead by MICE International of the United Kingdom with four. Winners of two Stevies include Accenture (U.S.A.), BT (United Kingdom), CSD (South Korea), Foxtons (United Kingdom), Hewlett Packard (France and EMEA), Maserati Spa (Italy), SAS (U.S.A.), and SUNGWOOADCOM INC (South Korea).

All organizations worldwide are eligible to compete in The International Business Awards, and can enter in any of more than 40 categories from Best Multinational Company and Best New Product to Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program and Best Executive.  

Members of the Stevie Awards’ Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs selected the winners during final judging earlier this month, which was preceded by two months of preliminary judging by business professionals worldwide.
