Tristaneil Las Marias, the President and CEO of Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI), has notably transformed the company since his appointment in April 2023. With over 25 years of senior leadership experience and a Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program alumnus, Las Marias has been pivotal in diversifying FLI's portfolio from primarily residential properties to a broader range including commercial and retail spaces, co-working and co-living accommodations, and industrial parks. Under his leadership, FLI established a joint venture with KMC Community in May 2023 to develop flexible co-working spaces, enhancing the office leasing business. He also spearheaded the launch of The Crib Clark in Filinvest Mimosa+ Leisure City, achieving full occupancy shortly after its December 2022 opening. His tenure saw the commencement of Filinvest Innovation Parks in Filinvest New Clark City and Ciudad de Calamba, attracting major businesses like St. Battalion, an Australian electric vehicle battery manufacturer. Las Marias led FLI in completing over 5,000 housing units across the Philippines, addressing the country's housing backlog, and launching 11 new projects in 2023 valued at PHP 8.7 billion, including significant projects like Futura One Building B in Dagupan and The Veranda in Samal Island, Davao.
Financially, Las Marias guided FLI to a robust performance, achieving a 30% increase in consolidated net income to PHP 3.77 billion. Residential revenues grew by 13%, fueled by accelerated construction and successful housing projects nationwide, while reservation sales increased by 6% to PHP 19 billion. Rental revenues rose by 13%, with the mall business earning PHP 2.21 billion and the office sector growing by 2% despite hybrid work challenges. The company successfully raised PHP 11.4 billion through 3.5-year peso fixed-rate bonds, crucial for the 2023 expansion plans. Las Marias' contributions earned him numerous accolades, including the Silver Award for Executive of the Year in Real Estate at the Stevie International Business Awards, the Dangal ng Lipi Award from Bulacan's Provincial Government, and the Dangal ng Baliwag para sa Trade and Commerce Award from his hometown. His leadership also garnered FLI the Philippines Team of the Year – Real Estate award at the Asian Management Excellence Awards, and multiple project awards at the 2024 FIABCI Property and Real Estate Excellence Awards, including Developer of the Year.
Las Marias' commitment extends beyond corporate achievements into community involvement through Pusong Filinvest, FLI's corporate social responsibility program. This initiative supports various societal needs, including education through a land donation for a new Bulacan State University campus and school supplies for Madrasah students in Davao. Public health initiatives include the FilVax vaccination program and donations of KN95 face masks in Pampanga. Pusong Filinvest's efforts to provide clean water through filtration system donations have benefited thousands across different schools. The program also includes disaster relief and environmental sustainability efforts, such as tree planting and coastal clean-up drives. Las Marias is also a founding member of Damayan, a non-profit organization providing medical and funeral assistance in Bulacan, and actively participates in fundraising events supporting local institutions, furthering his dedication to community welfare and development. Through his strategic leadership, financial acumen, and commitment to social responsibility, Tristaneil Las Marias has driven FLI's growth, diversified its portfolio, and reinforced its role in societal advancement, embodying the company's mission to build the Filipino dream.
