    In an era where technological advancement and innovation redefine the parameters of the IT and Business Process Management (BPM) industry, the need for visionary leaders who are both customer-focused and results driven is imperative. In this regard, Shiju Varghese, Country Head of TCS Philippines stands out as an exemplary figure, whose leadership journey embodies the essence of agility, resilience, and foresight in the face of the ever-evolving digital landscape.

    Shiju transformed the market strategy as the Country Head by forming key partnerships, amplifying & strengthening the TCS brand, and nurturing client relationships since his appointment in 2019. These efforts resulted in significant growth, including crossing the 5,000-employee mark in May 2022 (a milestone we had been aiming to achieve for the past 5 years) and catering to 70+ clients across various sectors.

    In a move to scale up operations for growth, TCS opened a new office in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig in February 2024. The new facility aimed to boost seating capacity by over 500 seats while promoting a collaborative, eco-friendly workplace which showcased the company's dedication to sustainable and socially responsible business practices.

    Under Shiju’s leadership, TCS Philippines has showcased a strong performance trajectory growth. He personally secured deals significant to the local market, demonstrating his influential role in the company's accelerating revenue and market presence. His strategic initiatives have broadened the company's service offerings and anchored TCS as a benchmark of IT & engineering excellence in the country.

    Shiju's command over emerging technologies and market trends has solidified TCS Philippines as an industry leader, incorporating advanced solutions like AI, robotics, and cloud solutions. His success is also rooted in a customer-centric approach, leading to a consistent 95-98% satisfaction rating over the last three years and fostering strong client relationships through exceptional service.

    An advocate champion in education, Shiju believes the IT world should not just be limited to technological advances but also about making these advances meaningful and accessible to communities, particularly young people. As the head of TCS Philippines, he has led initiatives that promote education and community development, with a focus on preparing youth for a digital future. Shiju's leadership has transformed educational programs like Go Innovate Together (goIT), Ignite My Future, and TCS Sustainathon, encouraging youth to share, learn, collaborate, and grow. His efforts earned him the "Outstanding Leadership Award" at the Education 2.0 Conference in Dubai on December 16-18, 2022.
