Halkbank Youth Support programs are divided into two main focuses based on the needs in the country: university students and young entrepreneurs. While these two groups share some common characteristics, there are major differences in their financial habits and expectation. Therefore, Halkbank develops programs that cater to each group separately.
Halkbank Student Support:
Since 2022, Halkbank has been designing special support opportunities for students. Paraf Genç is a special credit card without an annual fee, offering agreements and opportunities tailored to the needs of young people. Halkbank's special application for university students, Halkbank Kampüste, allows students to perform their financial transactions while benefiting from exclusive information and education. The standout feature of the Halkbank Kampüste application is the "Meal-on-Hold" option. Through the application, individuals can pay for a meal to create a free meal right for students in financial difficulty (meal on hold), and students in need can use the meals available that day for free. Another opportunity for university students from Halkbank is KampüsKart, a solution that combines a bank card, university ID card, and advantage cards into one. KampüsKart also stands out with its meal on hold feature.
Halkbank Young Entrepreneurs Support:
Halkbank has been putting all its financial and brand strength, knowledge, experience, technology and infrastructure at the service of new entrepreneurs since its establishment. Halkbank has continued to contribute to the increase in youth employment by enabling young people to start and expand their businesses through Entrepreneur Loans. With these credit packages, a wide range of financial support alternatives is offered to university graduate young entrepreneurs to experienced professionals who want to start their own business.
In addition to special products developed for young entrepreneurs, the Bank also develops other important initiatives to grow the entrepreneurship ecosystem, such as comprehensive support programs and efforts to improve financial literacy.
Halkbank implemented innovative idea hackathon JetLuck for young entrepreneurship ides with the engaging concept of 50-seconds-elevator-speech. In this competition young entrepreneurs present their ideas to Turkey’s top business people in -literally- an elevator in just 50 seconds.
Young entrepreneurs apply with a short video of their idea. After first evaluation selected 15 young ideas meet with business leaders in Halkbank’s elevator. Winners of elevator step have a longer presentation opportunity. Winner of the competition has a prize of 400.000 TL and all finalists also have been awarded with small gifts.
